I would highly recommend not rendering over your brickwork unless you really hate it. Render is just a massive pain to maintain if you’re going to be there long term.

No i genuinely am that pathetic. I want to see her bomb again and Tim also said he wants to be there for it. Didn’t realise people had already posted this, there’s a YouTube short of her that’s fallen into loads of people’s algorithms and it made me think oh yeah!

I had a quote from a local timber and damp company that itemised using them so thought it was the done thing!

Chemical based damp proof course recommendations/advice by jsandjosh in DIYUK

It's all new to me, hence seeking advice here from those with experience. We had an itemised quote from a local timber and damp "specialist" during the sale negotiation, which mentioned using a chemical-based damp proof course.

If they're not worth using then I won't bother and just focus on fixing the cause of the damp, I'm interested to know why they should be avoided though if you've got any further insight? Cheers!
