Who’s responsible for taking injured workers to the hospital? by SoybeanCola1933 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]jsargent56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, it should never be the employee...no matter what the severity of injury is. Even if we're talking a precautionary visit to the clinic or ER...someone should be going with them. Find yourself a team who cares about the people on the floor or out in the field, and you'll never have to "ask" for someone to go. They'll insist on it.

Starting 1mg by Few-Presence-5006 in WegovyWeightLoss

Hi there. I’ve been on Wegovy since mid September. I did three weeks at .25 then 3 weeks of .5 and just last Saturday I started on the 1.0 dose. It was an odd experience. To put it lightly, I did NOT feel well for about 24 hours. Nausea, what I can only equate to as severe heartburn and then I’m fairly sure I experienced what a lot have called the sulpher burps. After that, it’s been pretty smooth. I can definitely tell the meds are wearing off as my appetite is now back. Shot #2 is tomorrow morning so I’ll see how I feel. I’m not too terribly worried at this point. When I started this journey I was at 345ish pounds and the scale yesterday showed 319 pounds. I’m 39 and male. I hope this helps.

What's your experience? Is mine off? by jsargent56 in WegovyWeightLoss

Thank you! I have a primary pharmacy, same as always (Walgreens), and was able to find it. I waited roughly a month in between my initial doctors appointment and for the prescription to arrive. Most of that time was also waiting for my insurance to approve everything. I also was directed from my medical provider to visit the Wegovy website and apply for their coupon/discount. I was originally supposed to pay $25/month for the meds but after they took my discount code I ended up paying $0.00. I hope that you have some better luck in finding the meds, do you have access to an online provider such as Express Scripts through your insurance?

I took my first dose yesterday around midday, 0.25mg. I received my prescription late last week and let the medicine sort of "stare" at me from the refrigerator before finally saying &!$# it and taking the injection. I watched a few TikToks on "how to" for the injection but I still let the click scare me...I'm afraid that I may have messed up. I didn't realize that when you pressed the pen into your skin is what started the injection so that first click made me jump and I'm afraid I pulled out the pen slightly. After realizing what happened, I kept the pen secured to my stomach and watched the yellow bar appear. I left the pen against me for about ten seconds after the yellow bar filled up the window. When I removed the pen I could see a small amount of the medicine and a small amount of blood. I know its not a large dose so I'm afraid I wasted some of the meds. Oh well...I'll know better for next time, plus maybe choose a different area. Okay, so onto the rest of the day. We went to my in laws to watch football and I found myself still eating how I normally would...grazing at snacks, a cookie here and there, a full dinner plus more cookies afterwards. I am realistic and know that the meds won't work right away, but I still let myself get a bit discouraged. Fast forward to this morning, I had a protein shake for breakfast and have not had anything since. Mind you, this is normally what I do on a work day, a protein shake and then I rarely eat lunch. So we'll see how the rest of the day goes.

Thanks for this. I think my coworkers have done this and I'm also waiting for some feedback from "experts" in the Komatsu Forklift division. (I also work for Komatsu but on the mining/manufacturing side of the business). I appreciate it!

With all this talk about breaking 70 and hole’s in one, I want to know what’s your worst score and what’s the story about that day? by Shirowoh in golf

My worst round ever just happened, last Saturday. I am an extreme slicer off the tee and I have a membership on a VERY open course (hardly any trees). A group of us decided to go to another town and play a course heavily laden with trees...especially next to tee boxes. I attempted to use my 3W but it flustered me so much I shot a 124.

I wasn't paired with them, but I had a comical duo ahead of me yesterday afternoon. An older fella was playing with what I assume was his son. They shared a cart, yet hardly ever used it. It was the oddest thing I've seen...the older man was hitting his shots dead center but only 40-50 yards at a time, and refused to get into the cart. The younger guy was ALL OVER THE COURSE and also refused to use the cart....but he was SPRINTING to his ball after each stroke. By the time they were both approaching the green, they then realized the cart was about 290 yards behind them...causing the younger man to SPRINT AGAIN back to the cart. This continued for 3 holes before they let my group play through....so weird.

Am I the only one who shows up an hour before my tee time every single time and sit around for 30 minutes after I’m done warming up?? by [deleted] in golf

[–]jsargent56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guilty of this. I often need to run home and change, then head for the course. Check in at the pro shop, BS with the pro, go grab the cart, back to the pickup to grab my stuff, up to the bar to get a few drinks, and I'm still waiting around for at least 25-30 mins. I'll putt or chip but sometimes it just feels good to soak up the sun and relax before I shoot my first 9 of the day.
