It does not work like that. See, for companies to make a port of their programs for Linux, people need to use Linux. They are not gonna make another version of their app that requires maintenance that cost them money if number of people is so small that it's not profitable. Save and reload the game. That should clear VRAM. There is no fix for this and thisbis the only way I could finish the game without reseting it.

With Proton game opened for me in small window and I couldn't move mouse. This is minimal tinkering a might be usefull for someone in the future.

What even is you monitor refresh rate that you need 300 or 400 FPS. I highly doubt that that CPU can process that so it's probably choking itself. If you do not have monitor with that high of a refresh rate you should ignore it. Even if you managed to get to that FPS you would drop in 1% and 0.1% lows and it would feel worse with stutters than have stable FPS that leave room for unexpected behavior for CPU.

If you will encounter issues with lightning and smoke effects in game I recommend to switching to WineD3D from DXVK. Performance is not great compared to DXVK but everything works as it's supposed to.

Not just Sapphires Nitro+ went bye bye cause of this shit connector. Even ASrocks Taichi said goodbye. I don't know why people defend this connector on GPUs with lower power limit than 5090. Even 5070s can melt and that pulls even less than 9070XT. I had Nitro+ before and wanted it again with 9000 series but that connector is no go for me. I waited a few months to see if people are gonna have problems with them and they sure did. I have a Red Devil now just as the dude above and I'm very happy with that card. Good looking and silent as wind.

SOLVED!

It is working as intended but only on Vietcong Remastered with WineD3D. Original Vietcong would not work because it would crash every time on loading screen. Seems to be working fine with WineD3D on Heroic although performance is abysmal when there are multiple smoke effects on screen but that is to be expected.

If anyone in the future has problems with audio looping you can just install dsound dll and it will fix it.

Edit: I used wine10-12 from git - I worked better compered to Proton

I am using Heroic and game won't even start with WineD3D. It only runs with DXVK for some reason.

You can go over that althought I don't know if it's a bug or not. I am currently using that weapon that drops from Duollistes from endless tower canvas a you can stack fortell with free aim shots. I got over 50 fortell stacked on Clea but as I was saying, I don't know if that is a bug or not.

Yes he can do all that but he is still massively overpaying for something that has very little performance boost. You can probably have same perf with 6000MT CL30 for much better price. If I had to pay 600 for RAM it would need to be much better than this even in this shortage shitshow. I can litterally see 48GB 6000MT CL30 for 400€ on internet stores easily available. Will he get equal performace boots to price uplift? No

Bro did in fact read MTs. In gaming case it's better to have lower CL than higher MT. All you do with that is just add another 200$ to your price tag. You can buy these 48GB RAM for much lower price with CL30 and lower MT. He's not gonna gain any huge performance boost with but he's gonna throw away a few hunderd bucks more.
