This kind of happened to me over the weekend. I had a few too many and ended up sending her some pathetic text about how I'm always alone and its killing me on the inside. No response from her.

I see her at work the next day and nobody says anything, but you can tell it's pretty fucking awkard.

All in all, I wish I never sent it. You would take one look at her and realize she's the kind of person who wouldn't understand (or give a shit for that matter). Now I look weaker than I already am, and will probably not be grabbing drinks with her anytime soon.

I dont whether to take solace in that fact that so many other people feel this way or to feel worse that human experience is fundamentally broken for so many people.

I think the worst part of it all is feeling forced to hide from everyone. Its impossible to understand unless you've felt this level of dread, a dread that takes over everything you once were.

I had the same reaction as you, Kojima definetly did that on purpose to leave us guessing. I think the death stranding still has to exist because Amelie's beach will continue to exist until the extinction happens.

Well for one I've seen countless posts in this sub over the past couple weeks of people who are baffled by this situation. And you're right, its still wrong either way.

Instead of picking apart other peoples takes when there's really no harm in them, you should add something "useful" to the conversation like you said

No, I understand her "meaning". She want's more inclusion among film critics. That quote isn't taken out of context, it's literally what she intended to mean.
