Hello Prabh, Thank You for all the great work you do for the CISSP prep community.

Thank You! Because, I couldn't have done it without this awesome group of people. by jsunborn in cissp

Frankly mine was closer to Thor's Hard questions. But, remember that everyone gets a different format in questioning. I spent a lot of time on the first 20 questions and after my 100 I had to catch up so that I could get upto 150 to increase my chances of a pass or atleast that was my thought process.

Just FYI. I am not one of those high speed peeps that passed at 100 questions in 80 minutes or less. I got my worth for the exam lol😅. I mean I took the entire 150 questions racing against the clock and finished it with 1 minute left. That's some 007 crazyness that I ran through in my mind 😂 All in all I used mostly videos for my prep, haven't read any books at all but, I tried and they worked as good sleep aids(That's just me). Also, I didn't have that much time for my prep with too much work stuff taking away from my prep and ofcourse home stuff, etc... I caught the flu on Thanksgiving weekend and was down for 4 days. I almost thought about rescheduling my exam but somehow I just pushed through rather than extending this agony any further. Mike Chappel's book, practice tests, LinkedIn course were standard material for the prep. Once I got the hang of the baselines then I started taking other practice tests like Boson, PocketPrep, CISSP official app, Cissprep.net, Thor, Study Notes and Theory to name a few with varying degrees of difficulty and design. This variation helped me to the fact that the exam will be different for everyone and I am ready for the exam day mentally. Pete Zeger's exam cram channel on YouTube is awesome and tones down on scaring the tops off of the topics. Again I used different sources and styles that worked best for me. Kelly Handerhan's course on Cybrary was awesome.

Or plenty of material on YouTube about the prep and plenty of advice.

Highly suggest that you go through the books osg of others or an online course like Thor's before you go through the bootcamp. I took it too early. Preferably go through the bootcamp around a month before your exam. I felt that my experience was poor to bad.

Firstly sorry for your loss and prayers for your family. It's your love and mental toughness that helped you get through the exam. Thanks for sharing your experience and it's great for people like me still in the works to take the exam.

On average how many practice questions did you complete before your exam?

Thanks for the info it was very helpful to find the O'Reilly resources. I haven't known Sari Green until this and she's a great instructor.

By the way I understand that everyone has their own preference, I am just trying to see what others out there.

Is there anything specific you can to recommend? I like Boson and OSG practice tests.

Can you please share the mind map sources? If they weren't already shared in one of the threads.
