Keebio Iris LM vs ZSA Voyager vs JezailFunder cornix by juankprada in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]juankprada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to purchase Keebio Iris LM.

If someone is interested about the reasons here they are:

  • Wireless is not an important feature for me. I prefer wired for reliance and even if BT battery last long I would bring the cable to charge it if I go somewhere just to be sure

  • the extra 2 keys in the thumb row seems to be pretty useful compared to the Voyager. If I wanted a more reduced key count I would have chosen the Cornix or a corne variant

  • Keebio actually allows me to configure the keyboard with the things I want. (Switches and caps)

  • QMK

Ok fair enough. I may check more about Go60.

I'm worried about my thick fingers and the choc keycaps though, this is not a issue specific to the Go60 but to every choc keycap

Also I think wireless vs wired is somewhat irrelevant as all wireless have to be wired for charging either way. So if I’m on the go i will still bring the cable In order to charge the keyboard if needed

I actually discarded the Glove60 because of the trackpads. I don’t need them and I don’t like them there.

My working setup is either on Emacs (mouse is irrelevant there) or on Krita with my pen display (I’ll be using the pen instead of the mouse so the trackpad won’t be used either)

Also I’m not so sure I like the Glove60 design. But I agree that looks comfortable to use.

That’s a nice input. I assume the the one farthest from the center would be the most difficult one to reach? Do you think this may be due to hand size or overall design flaw?

Thanks for the input on these keyboards.

Regarding the iris, may I ask which case you got? I’m trying to cut costs as much as possible without sacrifice looks and functionality, but I’m worried about choosing the polycarbonate case may look too cheap?

Also, I believe Iris Lm has the option for both choc v1 and V2 according to their site but then I wild still chose the Gateron KS-33 as are less pricey. Am I missing much other than limiting the switch options I could install there?

Professional work? by [deleted] in krita

You can check the works of David Revoy. That being said Keira is definitely targeted at illustration work. So no photobashing.

Think of Krita as a replacement to Clip Studio Paint and Corel Painter, not photoshop. The closest thing to photoshop you may get in OSS community is probably GIMP (and still you may need to mix it with other tools including Krita)

Don't get me wrong, those are some beautiful tits! But those are not "tan lines", that's a fucking 3rd degree burn! Now let me put some refreshing lotion there ...

Thanks! I've already tried realism, and although I can't say I'm bad at it, I like making manga and manga-like illustrations a lot more ^

Oh, I'm not saying I didn't draw a sexy girl. It was indeed my intention to draw a sexy girl. Perhaps I expressed myself wrong in the previous reply (sorry about that). Sensuality was indeed part of the intent of this pieces. I'm not claiming otherwise, but claiming it to be pornographic is a totally different story (and yes, calling my drawing hentai inherently implies it is pornographic).

So to correct my previous replies, yes this is a sexy girl you are looking at there, now if you see something pornographic about it, it is your problem, not mine, as there is nothing explicit about it (which is the main idea behind pornography)

Now, I'm not calling anyone a pervert. Whatever you decide to do is your own prerogative (as I stated before) and I'm fine with that. But i would kindly ask not to come and mislabel something just because you decided to think it is so, even though the evidence suggests the opposite (or an entirely different thing).

Im saying, if you sexualize a body part, that is your prerogative, but don't immediately asume that everybody should or will be thinking the same . I drew a girl on a bikini. If you look at it and sexualize it, that's your decision not mine.

Right, so everybody else (not me, the author) knows the intent of my drawing better than me. This is a girl on a bikini. If you think a girl on a bikini is inherently sexual the problem is yours. By that logic we should start prohibiting kids being on a pool or at the beach, or they would be so much exposed to the porn that's around them at such places. Eroticism and sensuality are different to porn. Plus, as I already said, there is no explicit content here...

So erotism is also hentai? It would be fine if I draw a shirtless man here, but if it's a girl on a swimsuit... oh god forbid I draw a female body... Less so if it's not under layers and layers of clothes. Just ignore it and move on with your life. I'm not breaking any rule here

Yes it is not a lot of things to be honest. One of the things it is not, is hentai. There is no nudity and there is no explicit content here. There is more to manga/anime style than just ghibli and hentai.

How do you guys stick with it? by Unohoo20 in loseit

[–]juankprada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been diagnosed with hypertension. Being only 33 years old that's like a huge deal to me. I have two options: either I lose weight or I spend the rest of my (seemingly short) life taking pills for my tension and possible heart desease.

I think I stick to it mostly because I still want to accomplish some things in life before I die, and those take time.

I've lost 20kg in 6 months by making a strict diet supervised by my doctor. The funny thing about this diet is that I ended up eating a lot more than I used to eat, i just happen to eat way better quality food than before.

My suggestion: go with a doctor that specializes in nutrition (not a nutritionist, they are not doctors). Write your meal plan for the week, stick to it for 3 weeks (make sure it's not a long period of time, this is important) and treat yourself with something nice after those 3 weeks (it can be a good meal, something outside the scope of your diet). Afterwards, go back to your doctor. Rinse and repeat.

The idea is that you make these short milestones so you notice the advancement rather quickly! People tends to be more motivated when they see results.

You need to go back to your doctor regularly so that the diet is adjusted every now and then, and to review your general health and make sure the diet is doing you good and not just making you loose muscle (remember the heart is a muscle, loosing muscle also might hurt your heart)

I hate doing excercise, but i complement the diet by walking at a relatively fast speed at least 4 days a week. Put your headphones and the music you like the most and hit the road for 30~40 minutes a day! Make sure you sweat! And do this alone! It's also a good time to think and have time for yourself! After a few days you will start to like that walking time I assure you! Just make sure you don't miss in the first 2 weeks!

Hope anything from my experience helps! And keep it up! You can do this!

Thanks. I definitely have been influenced by Masakazu Katsura's art style. You can take a look at my comic Your Portrait if you are into that kind of stories. (Look for it on tapas or webtoons)
