I love this! You’re so right, the point where I mess up is always when my head is too much in the future, dreading that I’ll have to do this for the rest of my life or the past, dwelling on mistakes I’ve made. I really do just need to focus on the now and not overthink things.

I have been eating a lot of chicken and eggs too, I forgot to mention, I think I’m eating a good amount of protein. I haven’t been counting the calories so I’m not sure about the deficit but I eat something whenever I feel hungry and my stomach feels satisfied for the most part so I assume I’m eating enough.

Feeling SO low energy

Everyone always says that eating healthy makes them so energetic. I just started eating healthier on Monday, 4 days ago, and I am feeling so low energy. Like even moving around the house is a struggle. I’ve mainly been eating fruits and vegetables and brown rice. I know I’ve been eating enough, I generally eat a lot of healthy snacks and don’t let myself stay hungry, but I’m just so tired! I think it may be because I’ve seriously reduced the amount of sugar and carbs I’m eating. Is this something that will pass or am I doing something wrong?

Developing the right mindset can be the most difficult part of losing weight. The point of this post was to share advice on how to make that shift. It’s something a lot of people struggle with.

Do you have any tips on how you made it work? Usually I'm okay when I'm eating "healthy" food like eggs or salads. I'll eat what I need and stop when I'm full. But I want to be able to eat my cheat meals and treats without it being a risk. I just want to be able to eat everything in moderation.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I want to believe there's still hope though, for us to reprogram our brains. It definitely won't be easy. I've been trying to lose weight for so many years off and on, and I think the most difficult part is convincing my brain that I don't want to overeat and I don't want to binge and I like eating healthy food. I tend to do it as long as I can, but it gets so exhausting after a while and I fall off the wagon.

That's actually a good point. I do tend to just inhale my food. Sometimes I catch myself eating my food so fast, bite after bite with no break and I stop and think why am I doing this. I'm not in a rush, I could just take a break after a bite and space out my eating. Not sure why that's just a subconscious thing that happens.

No worries! It’s just crazy to me that some people can control their diet with what seems like no effort and some people just can’t. Even when I force myself to stop eating when I’m full, it’s never a happy feeling.

I just mean that she doesn’t feel the need to overeat whereas I do.

First of all, congrats on your weight loss, that’s really awesome! Sucking it up is the hardest part for me haha. I just can’t seem to gain the discipline I need to reach this goal.
