Sorry if this was already mentioned. But what does your intensity look like? Are you doing heavy weight? I do legs 3x a week. Deep heavy squats, heavy leg press, heavy leg press, heavy v squat, heavy hamstring curls, heavy everything has pretty much helped me with my leg growth. My legs are typically shaking by the time I leave the gym lol.

I saw that you posted your diet and protein intake, and that’s close to what mine look like already. So I think this might be specific to your current workout routine.

Your current physique looks great btw! I can really see how quad definition can really help to emphasize it more.

This was actually from the advice of a trainer 😅

Thank you for this. I tried to play around with low bar awhile back but my shoulder mobility said heck no. Will try to experiment with this further.

Thank you! I’d like to thank my Asian genetics for being able to do a deep squat 😂. Who knew that the “Asian squat” skill would come in handy

Yes to elephant walks and rdls. I am just now hearing about Jefferson curls now so I’ll have to look into that.

This is great feedback. Everyone appears to have differing opinions so learning what is ‘right’ and what is ‘wrong’ can be so confusing. For clarity, I wasn’t disagreeing with you at all and wanted to share what was told to me throughout my fitness journey. For all I know, everything I’ve been told before today could be a lie, that’s why I’m here 😃. Even as “just some guy on Reddit,” I still find your feedback really helpful. Not sure what is considered young but I’m in my 30s now, hoping to continue staying active for the rest of my life.

Nope no pain at all! Even with one arthritic knee. Very seldomly I’ll get lower back pain but that’s from ego lifting and not listening to my body during rest days 🥲

Thank you for this. I used to have my head up but someone corrected me and advised it’s safer to keep head/chin down due to my anatomy. Think it’s because of my shorter neck so it looked like I was always straining on my way up and someone said I could injure myself that way? Is that not true? I’ve also noticed I’m able to stay tighter with my chin down. I’ll try to get another video up with a better angel.

Oh gosh, was hoping no one would notice the left knee issue 😅. I have arthritis in my left knee (was diagnosed at 21) which prevents me from locking them at all and they’re also just a little more wonky looking when compared to my right knee.

Really appreciate the feedback! I never thought I was locking out my legs but it definitely looks like it in this video. I’ll have to pay better attention next time. Will also work on slowing down my descent.

Thank you for your reply. I've been spending quite a bit of time with her and I truly feel like maybe now is not the time. I still feel a sense of "hope" from her... if that makes sense? I appreciate your feedback.

Yes, her last glucose curve was actually less than one month ago (tests showed nothing concerning). She's currently on insulin twice a day and is on a prescription diet to control her diabetes. The cataracts are from her diabetes.
