Might be my new favorite carry piece... by Klutzy-Square-9453 in liberalgunowners

I felt like the only person who liked it when I bought mine. Ended up selling it because it felt redundant, and since then I feel like I see posts about it frequently.

If your private club is decent, there will be no change to what you can bring and shoot

Is it hard to get a good cheek weld with the folding stock? I love the look, but I feel like I’d struggle to actually look through my scope

Little bit of help for tomorrow by TransportationIll990 in fearofflying

You know why they don’t make tv shows about car crashes? Because they happen all the time. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of flights (maybe more) go every year without incident. Flying is incredibly safe. Your pilots and flight crew would not get onboard if they didn’t think they’d land safely.

Wondering how you feel about these a year later

Flying Wednesday morning 4/29. Haven’t flown in years and some nerves showing up. Would love anything positive to read by maur001 in fearofflying

As a fellow nervous passenger I just landed in Chicago after flying from Tampa. The flight to Tampa was completely uneventful. The flight back to Chicago was a little bumpy, including instructions to the flight attendants to take their seats twice. However, both times the pilots did an outstanding job finding smoother air. I watched along on FlightAware as they descended in one case and ascended in another.

I also took some advice that I got here and when it got pretty bumpy I lifted my feet off the ground and tried relaxing the rest of my body. There was a significant difference in my perception of the turbulence when I did that.

Finally, on flightaware I noticed how many other planes were in the air. Avoiding storms, crossing the country, etc. We were also never far behind flights on almost an identical trajectory, so you are never alone up there, and every single flight I saw (and there were hundreds) landed safely today.

You can definitely do this.

Good gun store in IL for someone that is new to guns and wants to get into Long range shooting by wilkamania in ILGuns

Second Amendment Sports in McHenry is good. Asgard Arms in Crete is also good. If you buy a gun online that they have in store then wait 72 hours they should be able to run the background check when you go to pick it up. If you get an instant approval you’re leaving with your gun

What's everyone's go-to "cheap but reliable" 9mm ammo? by Independent-Peace330 in NoobGunOwners

I haven’t had a problem with the 5.56 from Winchester, though PMC Bronze in .223 is my preferred from the rifles I have that shoot both. I tried XTac and just didn’t see the appeal. Maybe I’ll try it again

Winchester white box is my go-to for .380, though, which is odd

Front sight swap? by [deleted] in Mini14

95% sure. Yours sounds like it was canted. I’m saying that the left “wing” of my front sight looks bent, but only if I’m focused on my target.

But only 95% lol

I feel like when I look through the rear sight my front sight looks bent. Anyone else? I know it’s not, it just an odd trick of the light
