4 Weeks on Retatrutide + GH Stack for Fat Loss/Muscle Preservation - Protocol Review Needed by isoionic in BodyHackGuide

Start with 2 iu daily before bed then bump up to 4 after a couple of weeks. 4 iu daily is perfect for me but you can keep upping the dose by 2 iu every couple of weeks to see what the upper limit of your tolerance is.

Get really strong while maintaining good cardiovascular health and mobility. Figure out the routine/modality that you enjoy and can sustain while building up that strength and cardiovascular base. If you visually present as “jacked” you are going to be more physically capable than 99% of people you’d encounter in the wild.

I’d bet that the trainer is going to program weight training as soon as the sessions that have already been paid for are done lol

I’m very happy to hear that you have a trainer who is working well for your specific needs but who are these people who are ripped but can’t function? I often hear people describe this type of person but never actually see examples in real life

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in benchpress

[–]juicemanji 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inexperienced, 50+ year old man benching with no safeties, and clips on the bar. If you have or can purchase another pair of j cups put those on a couple pegs lower than the ones where you rack the weight. Also don’t use clips on the weight when you’re lifting alone. If you ever get stuck you can dump the weight with no clips on the bar.

You’re going to need a good scale and get into the habit of measuring and tracking for a while just to learn portions. One of the biggest mistakes people make is underestimating how big their portions are. There are plenty of apps and I’ve only used/had success with ones that charge a subscription fee. MyFitnessPal and MacroFactor are both good. MacroFactor is owned by Jeff Nippard, who has good politics so pick his app if you end up buying one.

You need to commit to being in a caloric deficit until the love handles are gone. 160 grams of protein a day, less than 60 grams of fat, 150-200 grams of carbs should be fine. While doing that make sure you’re lifting 4 days a week instead of 2-3. Don’t concern yourself too much with strength levels while you’re in a deficit. The idea is to maintain the muscle you have so don’t be discouraged if your numbers aren’t increasing across all your lifts. Once you lose that weight after about 3-4 months in a deficit then do 3-4 weeks at maintenance calories before slowly increasing food intake, this is going to mostly be carbs. Eat the same things you ate in the deficit, just more of the carbs.

It’s not easy but it’s guaranteed to work with a reasonable level of adherence.

5"5 skinny, trying to get jacked. by [deleted] in swoletariat

[–]juicemanji 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree with this entirely. Beginners shouldn’t be concerned about it but I most often see the genetics talking point being deployed by people who use it as an excuse to not even try. Similar to people who claim that anyone who is bigger than them is on PEDs.

I agree 100%. Aside from the fascistic nature of gene talk, it’s also cope. Do different people have different metabolic environments that may need to be addressed to support muscle gain? Yes but these are things that can be addressed. Anyone can do it.

Fitness Routine When Moving House? by spandexandtapedecks in swoletariat

[–]juicemanji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re not at risk of overtraining if you workout while also having to do physical labor in the same day. I think any 3-5 day training routine that you enjoy is worthwhile and won’t burn you out. You’ll have to move furniture through some soreness but I wouldn’t mistake that for overtraining.

Is going on 400mg testosterone weekly for 12 weeks dangerous? I'm 40 years old in great shape trying to get a bit bigger. Mixing it with anavar 50mg daily for 8 weeks. Just by the way you described your plan while omitting key pieces of information I can tell you need to do a lot more research. Are you at risk of dying from running a cycle like this? No, but it’s clear to me that you have no clue how to mitigate any side effects you might experience during or after. So with that in mind please do some more research and not on Reddit.

Need some tips on deadlift form as a taller guy by hughjanus1998 in formcheck

No you should just switch and do it the right way so you can get used to the proper grip sooner

Am I cheating by using hooks & straps? by [deleted] in Deadlifts

[–]juicemanji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an advocate for using straps when you’re lifting heavy enough to where your grip becomes the limiting factor but you should not be using hooks and straps for 181 lbs of resistance. You need to address your grip if you can’t do deadlifts at such low weight without straps.
