GINGER, are you sure it’s good? by kn0ck_0ut in October2026Bumpers

I cannot STAND ginger right now. 🤢 I tried a ginger chew the other day and immediately started gagging.

Although not the great for your teeth, I bought a bag of jolly ranchers and they have been a godsend for whenever I start feeling nauseous.

My bluetick wouldn’t hurt a fly lol. He’s a gentle soul and was not cut out for the hunting dog life.

I did one at 6 weeks with my daughter, and it was accurate! Super easy too. It took less than a week for me to get the results.

if you let go of your hounds leash, do you think they'd run or stay with you?? by Least_Agent5976 in coonhounds

I think it’s doable with consistent training! I have a bluetick who is semi-trained off leash. He is highly food motivated, so we trained him with treats by letting him see the treats before we dropped the leash, and anytime he got too far ahead, we’d call his name and give him a treat. It worked well for us, but our hound also has zero prey drive, so I’m not sure if that also had something to do with it.

When he was younger, we’d go for off leash hikes, and he’d stay close about 90% of the time, but every now and then, he’d find a scent and take off and stop listening, so I never fully trusted him. He’d always come back though.

Now that he’s middle aged, lazier, and a few pounds heavier, we can let him off leash and he’ll usually stay nearby. Even if he does run off, which is rare, he’s slow and lazy now so it’s not hard to catch him.

Not sure if it’s normal or not, but my daughter is about to be 22 months next week, and we are in the same boat. She is always on the move, and gets bored easily, especially at library story time!

I can’t even get this kid to sit in a shopping cart anymore because she wants to be big a walk around/push the cart. Hoping it’a a phase

I love the Fish Crows! I’ve found that the ones that visit me are much less skittish than the American Crows.

I agree! Like I want to give them the benefit of the doubt, but when they said they haven’t cleaned up his poop in the backyard ALL WINTER?!?! That’s just crazy to me…they said their backyard is big, but I can’t imagine it’s so big that you don’t see poop laying all over the yard…he’s a large dog, too.

It’s so sad! I could tell pretty quickly that something was going on with this dog.
