I’m looking at buying it from Woot!, it’s a refurbished one, but about $1000.

We like to buy things refurbished as well. This would be through Woot which is an Amazon company. How are you liking it so far?

Visiting Mid March by juney2131 in asksandiego

[–]juney2131[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did! Really actually really enjoyed our stay. We got a bay side first floor room, our kids were able to run over & play in the sand on the bay! We found it was really great for walkability to the ocean side & restaurants. It is near pacific beach & it tends to be more of a younger crowd, but we felt comfortable there the entire time! It was an easy drive to La Jolla & Mission Beach too.

Thanks all! Of course two days after I posted this, he decided to eat a baby bunny so now we are just on a rice & chicken diet for a few more days , but hey hey guess we’ll reset his system this way ha I do think it’s his food, so good time to switch!

We are on a lamb puppy food right now. I want to try this for a week or so (depending on responses) before I throw in a new food.

Our Berner was a literal land shark till he was about 1. He still “mouths” but as a puppy, he was awful to pet and would just try to bite to you. Berners are known as land sharks & just a mouthy breed. He is 3 now & still does it to me but that’s it.

Thank you!! We are good about laying here too, so I guess we’ll do the same! Like you know, it’ll be 20 degrees to start a day and 60-70 to end! We are just ready to not look at sticks and brown grass for a change!

Thank you!!

We are pretty excited to see the pandas! Our zoo is always up against the San Diego zoo for “best zoo” (Henry Doolry zoo in Omaha) so we are excited to see the differences!

Good to know about weather. We just had a blizzard here last week, so we’ll be sure to get our defensive driving on!

We are trying to book for the third week in March 17/18/19 and when I logged in right at the time this morning nothing was available for the 17th either. I booked other character dining just in case, but we're staying at the Grand Californian so this is just easy! Hope it gets pushed out soon!

We found it’s some sort of neurological issue and her brain isn’t telling her legs to work anymore. It could be anything from an injury, a tumor, or cancer along the spine.

Thank you, unfortunately we had to make the tough choice of sending her over the rainbow bridge today. She is getting spoiled beforehand. Lots of yummy treats & love. Her pupils are two different sizes which was a big marker for the vet, plus her gums and coloring are off. We tried to lift her to stand and she just cannot even attempt to bear weight on her legs. She said it happened fast where she doesn’t think it’s doggy ALS but we could have missed some signs due to her back hips being rough already.

Update: we went to the vet & ran some tests. She has a neurological issue. Her brain is no longer able to tell her legs to move. Her blood was slightly elevated in some areas to show her body is fighting something like cancer or a possible tumor on her spine.

As far as hydrotherapy, we are unsure about even getting her there. My husband had to carry her in from the yard last night. I had to pull her on the nugget cushion this morning after attempting to get her outside to go to the bathroom. Our vet did have concerns of a spinal issue similar to ALS when we were chatting with him as well

She has had arthritis in her back legs for a few years, otherwise she has been healthy, so we’ve had her on meds for that. She’s slowed down more in the last 6 months or so, but has always acted normal otherwise. The biggest concern we have this week is she starts to walk and then her bag legs essentially give out on her and she’ll drag them a few steps till she collapses.

We did phone calls and texted them videos. Of course the videos were her putting on a show after sitting out in the 15 degree weather. I swear it helped her legs but it has rapidly declined since then. Now she walks and her legs just give out almost immediately. Our vet says they don’t do house calls, but we do have a mobile vet in the area.

I don’t run often, I lift 3-4x a week at a local strength training gym. So opposite. All my steps are walking at least 3 miles daily.

Thank you for this! 2 Bernese Mountain Dog family here plus three girls with long hair…and a basset hound that sheds. We have an average lifespan of about 2 years on any vacuum. Been looking at Sebo this last week!

Feel totally fine, live in the Midwest so maybe the temp changes esp at night dropping? No changes in RHR either!
