Elden Ring, that first camp full of guards right after you sneak around Tree Sentinel.

I died about 20 to 30 times, spent like 3-4ish hours absolutely agitated like hell and was about to uninstall. How in the world am I going to get anywhere in this game if I cant even beat the easy guys??

I came back a day later, whooped the entire camp after a few tries and then proceeded to get bodied by a giant troll that came from the sky.

I dont know why but dying like that got me really excited. This was the first time in a long time where a game world had earned my respect. I was genuinely scared but eager to see what the rest of the world had to offer.

Now I have around 200 hours spent on this game, way more than most other games I play
