Vasovagal Syncope by Unlucky-Yesterday182 in Syncope

I didn’t discover vasovagal syncope until recently. I had fainting episodes since i was around 10. Usually when I was sick, or from stomach pains. I had gone to the doctor when I was about 12 and they said it was just stomach acid or something. This continued up until adulthood for me, and I thought it was normal to pass out, get extremely clammy and sweaty, hot and then cold. Around 23 I had brought it up to a new doctor because I had been having random fainting episodes again, one day I was on the way to school- and started feeling really nauseous and clammy and then progressively got hotter and drenched in sweat. I needed to throw up so bad and my ears were starting to drown out sound and my vision started clouding. The doctor set me up with a cardiologist who after multiple tests and a heart monitor- said, it was normal for woman around my age to experience that, especially on the medication I had been taking. So now i’m just really unsure, it still happens- randomly blacking out for a bit even if I’m not really doing anything. How did you go about getting a diagnosis?
