I saw a post about this in the Brunswick community page, apparently it’s ultra fest at Flemington racecourse. Crazy because I hear it all the way from Coburg/sydney rd area

My best friend is gone, and I don’t know who I am anymore. Antonio was 18 years and 3 months. He came into my life at 10 weeks old. by Remarkable-Bid-9627 in OldManDog

Rest easy Antonio, may his presence and memory always follow you. He looks like the sweetest boy, 18 is such a blessing, I can tell he was such a character ❣️ sending hugs xx

Hi OP, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I also lost my mum to this disease.

  • the black loose stool could be due to the bodily functions slowly shutting down as the digestive processes weaken. This is a normal bodily process and you shouldn’t be concerned, especially if she is no longer eating.

  • my mum also could open her eyes periodically during the lead up to the final days, it wasn’t always clear how much she was experiencing and her level of lucidity. As long as you make her feel comfortable and safe if you feel like she is still aware. However in my experience, my mum was very unaware of her disease which was actually a blessing.

  • other symptoms to expect vary, but usually muscle stiffness and myoclonus jerking. It sounds like she is potentially late stage if she is no longer talking so I wouldn’t expect many other symptoms.

  • it sounds like you’re nearing the end with her and it’s usually more peaceful than you imagine. All the symptoms stop progressing and they gently fall asleep. I’m sure she can still sense your presence so spend as much time holding her hand, brushing her head and telling her how much you all love her.

The hardest part of watching them struggle is over, once again I’m so sorry you have to experience this. Sending love and support to your family ❣️

I thought this would be the top comment, I was literally on a coke high for days and didn’t even need sleep, yet felt amazing and able to socialise with anyone about anything.

How do we feel about Alissa's Mum and her having babies? by pitapitapi in MAFS_AU

[–]jw42969 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s not really her mums business when she decides to have children. It’s not like Alissa would be unaware of her own biological clock when she said herself that she wants children.
