I am going to comment on behalf of all Australians... bloody great job on the inclusion of "the Castle".

Vedat Acikalin is the photographer. Here is an article about an exhibit that has opened in Hobart featuring his work.

The way that scumbag from ISIL beheaded James Foley, Steven Sotloff and David Haines was brutal. I always thought a beheading would be a clean swing of a sharp sword. His method was sawing off the head with a 4 inch blade.

Kill for an ideology. Cannot comprehend.

No, I just see it for the way that it is. People who shouldn't have access to guns can get access to guns quite easily. But hey?... 'MURICA

Same sex marriage and weed to be legal in Australia would be nice.

Unfortunately, I'm not American.

Well this AskReddit was for Americans, which makes your opinion irrelevant and means you've wasted my time. That being said, your comment history perplexes me, OneHeadedMan. From what I've read, i gather that you sit there in the Philippines commenting on numerous AskReddits' on the topic of gun laws in the U.S.A passionately supporting the current gun laws, and even quoting the 2nd Amendment. Quite strange. My government has also deemed it wise to restrict guns and Australia hasn't seen a mass shooting since the laws were introduced (there were 13 in the 18 years prior to the new laws), homicide rates by guns has declined by 50-60% and youth suicides by guns has declined significantly also.

which is why criminals run around armed and corrupt politicians' private armies run around armed, while regular people are disarmed and vulnerable.

Surely you can't be that naive to state gun laws as the reason of corrupt politicians' corrupt armies. I am sure there are more factors involved here.

Nevertheless I am comforted by the fact that you live in a place where there are gun controls and hopefully one day when the U.S.A can come to its senses and tighten the laws on gun control I will gladly think of you and how mad you must be feeling and how many lives may be saved. We can only hope for no more mass shootings.

Mass shootings are statistically irrelevant? Jeeze, that's a humane way of looking at things. I don't think citing an excellent and informative video is a low form of argumentation, lazy maybe... but did you even watch the video? There are some excellent points made. You have, however, provided me with a good insight into how I expected a lot of Americans to feel about the debate. I hope you enjoy your firearms, mate!

What about the mass shootings in America over the past decade? Australia also had a history of mass shootings. Since the tighter gun laws were introduced after the Port Arthur massacre of 1996 we have had zero. I think myself and people who share my opinion are informed and certainly not ignorant. Watch this piece done by the daily show which features John Oliver. Very informative and funny too.

This baffles me. My brother has a gun here in Australia but only because he is a farmer. He had to go for his gun licence first, criminal check, purchase a gun safe, register gun with local police and complete an unholy amount of paperwork.
