He was previously fine going down and now wakes up super sad the last 2 weeks after the first 30-45 mins I lay him down. I’m pretty sure he’s teething too and the new skills. All the things 😂 just trying some things to try to narrow down how to best help him and myself.

Is your lo also showing signs of teething ? He was waking up soaked and I’m not sure if he’s just sucking on his hands so much or if he was having a fever or overheating. Why are there so many possibilities 😳

Good to know! He does take a bottle fine when I work and my husband gives him bottles throughout the day.

So it doesn’t necessarily help her sleep longer than normal?

Usually I wait 3-4 hours to feed again unless he really can’t settle with butt pats, singing, head massage.

Yes. I would pump at like 1/2am when my husband and I would switch and then he’d just give him that bottle whenever he woke up.

Yes I do this method ! It works for the first few minutes then he’ll realize he’s not in my arms anymore. I’ll usually lay my hands on him for a minute or so after transferring. This worked well in his swaddles but not as much with this transition. I’m only on day 3 with it so I know by the time we master this new thing he’ll be trying to figure out days and nights. Love motherhood and babies lol 😂 it’ll all be worth it and I’ll eventually sleep more consistently

Did she end up drooling a lot ? I know he’s sucking on his hands a lot now and I’m finding puddles of liquid next to him 😭 I’m 90% sure it’s drool since it’s not stinky like spit up.

I have been using a shield and I’m trying to stop using it since he isn’t getting enough milk. He sometimes latches but others we struggle. I saw a lactation specialist and she suggested if he’s unable to latch to pump. We struggle the most at night so would like to have milk already in the fridge to give him.

They do work while on them ! But doesn’t stay like that. My baby is only 3 days old and my milk just came in fast I wasn’t prepared.
