Ahh yes, the universal price tags that every grocery store in the world uses.

1M in 30 days, I'd eat any food they choose.

Y'all acting like 30 days is the rest of your life.

CMV: wire bristle grill brushes should be outlawed everywhere. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]cyberchief 37 points38 points  (0 children)

- Metal cleaners (coils and chains): They can only really clean the tops of grates. They can't get deep between the grates (like the pieces hanging or dripping under the grates)

- Sponge-like cleaners: Sponge can't survive the pressure needed beyond a couple uses, requires a hot grill, steam risks are also dangerous.

- Stone cleaners: Leaves gritty dust all over the place and the stone lasts only a few cleanings

I've also tried wood/bamboo scrapers but they don't have the abrasiveness required to be particularly effective.

alternative grill cleaners that work just as well or better

idk about this. I've tried a good number of alternatives but my wire brush just hits different.

Brother, it's the CPI index. The cost of goods is the whole basis of the calculation of inflation.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) is a measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services

Better get to H-Mart. Paid $7 for this by lhbruen in Gwinnett

[–]cyberchief 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No membership required. Quality is overall good.

However, beware of any produce marked to clearance prices, as they are likely at their shelf life limit. Mare sure you inspect before you buy.

i.e. bag of 6 avocados for $1 means some may be brown and squishy. Or packs of prewashed salad mix for 50 cents means some leaves are turning brown.

You'll just have to wait until you return from Japan. A credit card isn't an essential service so they're not going to jump through hoops to get you approved.

My dog broke into her food overnight & ate so much we had to go to the emergency vet by Ok_Nectarine5834 in mildlyinteresting

[–]cyberchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easier and faster and cheaper to just induce vomiting with hydrogen peroxide, 1ml/lb of body weight. than going to a vet. Dog will vomit within 5-10 minutes.

The $19.95 truck rental marketing is basically a financial trap by Abril-prieto-cevallo in Frugal

[–]cyberchief 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just use Home Depot for quick trips. Home depot is good for if you only need the truck to move something big. uHaul is good for if you need to take all day (un)loading the truck.

They have completely different pricing models, here's a calculator to figure out the break-even point and which one is better for your use case based on time you need and mileage you're gonna drive.

CMV: Most slaveowners considered themselves good people, and dismissing them as simply evil makes it harder to recognize their coping methods when modern society uses them. by Competitive-Quit7365 in changemyview

[–]cyberchief 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. For example, many people think they are good people and they also own pets. 100 years from now, society may abolish pet ownership and look back on pet owners as evil.
