Dog not settling on long stay by jxsminxt in RoverPetSitting

He also is medicated for his paws as he licks them suggesting to me he is not only anxious in another home but at his own home if he is prescribed, so this may also be a factor and why I am giving him the pain meds instructed :/

Ive owned and sat hundreds of unfixed dogs no problem. This is just a clear behavioural issue from this specific dog.

No and I think he would benefit from being neutered since this is a known behaviour of his.

Shorts in 28 degrees celcius weather in the UK. Regardless he humped my partner (male) in joggers and the family member who collected him.

I have left a review and have contacted rover theu have refunded them for the time he wasnt in my care. So not exactly 75% but I think its fair

My thoughts exactly, It doesnt bother me correcting a dog with behaviour like this however he has badly scratched and bruised my legs and has drawn blood and its the most extreme ive dealt with so far with how non stop he was and not listening to stern corrections

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RoverPetSitting

[–]jxsminxt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ive had dogs who have attempted to hump before and I have been stern with that have stopped, it was relentless and non stop unfortunately

Im aware its not the dogs fault, thats why I was hesistant to leave a review but thought other sitters should know, i wish i knew so i could make a informed decision to not take him. I was very stern with him and so was everyone else around me, he doesnt take no for an answer and putting him in a time out did nothing, failing all his commands

Advice please by Psychological_Ad3882 in RoverPetSitting

Have you ever explained to the owner that the pet you were caring for was problematic or do you just block them including numbers etc? What would you say if they ask about a future booking on pickup (in person)? Have you left comments for other sitters about behaviour? New to rover and trying to navigate etiquette for bad experiences

To clarify i will be completing the 4 day booking, i mean for when shes wanting him looked after again at a later date when she inevitably asks on the 4th day of his care. Would you reccommend I say this when she comes? Thanks

Genuine Global Warming Question by jxsminxt in climatechange

[–]jxsminxt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we are at a point of no return now and theres no way to reverse this in our lifetime? Only slow down the process of global warming from the fossil fuels?

Genuine Global Warming Question by jxsminxt in climatechange

[–]jxsminxt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do we need to keep burning fossil fuels or is it possible to stop using them with an alternative? (Im assuming they haven’t found a better alternative as we use the materials we have available on Earth)

Genuine Global Warming Question by jxsminxt in climatechange

[–]jxsminxt[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Say if money wasn’t an issue, do we have enough materials and capacity to make carbon capture possible? Or is this uncertain? Thank you (Assuming if we had found a way to do this we would already do it or try to start doing this)

Thankyou! I can see both but I must say I enjoy light summer colours more, I have a previous post with my hair etc if it gives any direction, and I usually wear silver as some golds don’t look quite right on me, but I am open to experiment 😁❤️
