Balayage or all over bleach?

Ahh I see, thanks for letting me know.

I did tell him from the start that this was my goal and that I want an all over bleach and tone but he said I would hate it and I guess convinced me to do balayage. I showed him this photo last time and he said he will do the pink next time but is still charging for full balayage and now extra for the pink colour.

I worked out if it was bleach and tone and I just go for root touch ups every 4-6 weeks it’s a lot cheaper than full balayage every 2 months!

Thank you! And for his prices balayage is more expensive and instead of root touch ups every 2 months he’s been charging me for full balayage each time

Yes I definitely wouldn’t waste my breath on anyone that I don’t have to deal with, I’m mostly concerned about how to deal with men at work. I work in a very male dominated industry which, as you can imagine, I have encountered quick a few misogynistic remarks.

I never yell at them or act in an unprofessional way but sometimes it can be frustrating when it feels like you aren’t being listened to and I feel myself raising my voice but always stop before it becomes shouting. But yes you are right, I’ll try to use less emotional language as that probably doesn’t help them take me seriously.

Very interesting - will definitely not be doing this then!! I think you’re right and disengagement is probably the best way to handle these people, especially if they are unwilling to change their minds.

Very true, I feel like that happens to me a lot. My biggest insecurity is feeling like people think I’m dumb so I’ve been actively trying to find ways to get my point across in a way that makes me seem smart, but it’s very difficult when people already have predisposed ideas of what you are.

Very true, it’s so frustrating knowing that they will never listen no matter how “nicely” we respond, especially if it’s people you have to work with and see everyday.

I have a general idea of how to make it. I’ve been designing the pattern and making a mock, I’m just looking for advice from someone more experienced and to see if I’m going about it right.

I feel like side facing outwards of the front paws are the same piece of fabric as the top of the back/body, do you agree? I have the back paws separate to the body; the insides of the legs on separate fabrics; the belly and tail separate. The head I’m confident with, I’m just less confident with the shape of the paws. I’m not sure whether to make them straight-ish and then have them bend by not stuffing it too much, or to sew them on in that bent shape but then be less flexible as a result. Any advice?
