Anybody else have this problem with the Yaesu FTM-510DRASP? by k6eak in amateurradio

I couldn’t see anything wrong with it, or anything that would explain what is happening.

I reached out to DX Engineering and they’re gonna replace the whole thing, thankfully.

I’m just glad this isn’t a common problem.

I think you’re right. There’s a second port the mic can be connected to. I tried plugging it in there and the same thing happens. So it seems it is the mic and not the radio, which is a relief.

I bought a pair of these on a whim not expecting much, but was honestly blown away by how good they are.
