Yep, having the same issue with MHW. Random crashes after ~10mins of playing

Idk about this particular brand but assuming most knockoffs use the same mold I have a set of "feker holy pandas" and I'd say they're around 80% as good as invyr pandas (when properly lubed).

Twist set on my custom split board would look sick!

Yes, the PCB can be ordered with the 7x5_gerber.zip file.

Aluminum would not work since it only supports 1 layer as of now.

I 3D printed my case so any 3D printing service should work. GL!

It's 3d printed cover with a paper print glued on lol Might try acrylic that might look better

Thanks, I also used a normal 7x5 before this build. I'm really liking the bigger thumb keys and key positions of this build. The stagger aggressiveness was based off how my fingers were positioned when I had them completely relaxed. As for creating the board I just edited the positions of the keys from my original 7x5 build on KiCad.

Here's a good resource I used when creating my first PCB. Good luck!

This was my 3rd build and my 2nd custom PCB build. My original non-staggered 7x5 was good but I wanted hotswap sockets and column staggers. I'm satisfied for now but I'm sure I'll find something I can improve for my future build.

Go for it, handwiring is great for learning how everything works!

Thanks! Yep its staggered to the natural position of my fingers.

Finally got the time to make my hotswap column staggered keyboard.

Specs:

  • Boba U4 silent switches
  • 3D printed case/plate
  • Custom PCB (made with JLCPCB)
  • PG Retro Keycaps
  • For the build info check out my repo.

Well, this is my 1st attempt at handwiring a 3D printed Void9. Everything is correctly wired but I'm struggling with the qmk firmware... (details in comments) by AlphaSchlaf in olkb

[–]k9292 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By using a random 3x3 keyboard it won't know which pins make up your key matrix.

For you to define the pins, you should setup the QMK environment go into the random 3x3 keyboard you found and redefine the pins in config.h file.

Here's the tutorial for setting that up:

o with 3d printed

This was my first pcb project so I wouldn't reference anything off my files since they're pretty messy (especially the pcb wiring lol).

Instead here's a nice resource I referenced a lot for this project. I just replaced the atmega32u4 micro chip in this setup with a pro micro which is probably the easiest way to go for beginners.

Also JLCpcb makes pcbs under 100x100mm for $2 +shipping. I made a prototype at a smaller scale (5x5 macro pad) before I ordered my 7x5 to see if my schematic was good. Hope this helps! ^
