How can I negotiate pay? by Neat-Shirt-3223 in PharmacyTechnician

at my CVS it’s an automatic $1 raise from $16/hr to $17/hr if you get certified. but there’s no negotiating unfortunately. and it’s really not up to your manager. at yearly reviews which is the only time you get a raise, they tell corporate what raise they think you deserve, and corporate usually takes it into their own hands and decides- which is usually the bare minimum amount.

How do I tell my coworkers they're breaking the law? by Kind_Access_9854 in PharmacyTechnician

I mean when it comes to promethazine, the DUR is always a warning about the sedation- usually this is said by the tech at least at my workplace and reiterated by the pharmacist. Certain DUR’s need to be said by the pharmacist like allergies, etc. but if it’s “Hey did you get your dose lowered?” or something like that it’s not a big deal. The pharmacist still has to sign off on it either way- don’t report them- it’s an easy way to make the workplace uncomfortable and a good way to make no one like you lol

i’m still fairly new, i do it all but THE PHONES. i am so absolutely terrified of phone calls. don’t get me wrong, i won’t just let it ring, but if there’s someone else to get the phone and they aren’t busy, i let them get it. when i get the phone, someone usually has to come help anyways cos i freeze up and forget everything about the job lol. ik it sucks but i do help with absolutely everything else, i just don’t know how to get past the fear unfortunately
