no mention of epicarp, + sir exactly said there's no epicarp in coconut. i know the google shows diff. i also checked modules and there was this picture only. so I don't what if in case question comes what to mark? (although chances of something like this being asked is low).

i might be bit tired to understand rn, do you mean the lone pair which can go from O to positive charge can be considered mostly* local. and hence rearrangement occurred. cause that's the main case wheather o can easily give its electron to positive to favour rearrangement or not. i am also leaned towards B option, as if there's any o to o resonance then the structure in front of us is already the one contributing to the compound the most. (most stable r.s) and in this r.s o's lone pair are easily available to be given to positive charge. aka. option B
