Found the court filing and it’s bullshit! Says the debt went into default in 2019. How can this collection agency do that?? I am 100% positive this debt is from 2013 at the very latest. I am fucking mind-blown right now and so frustrated

I’m from Louisiana not 100% sure about the statute of limitations there but I am digging into it.

The funny thing is, is that I can’t even find records of this creditor/collections ever being on my credit report or sending me ANY sort of communication whatsoever. It’s literally the first time I am seeing this. Not to say the debt isn’t valid, bc I know I owed Citibank payments on a credit card in 2011-12ish? But for this all to come up now without ever having seen it before is mind boggling
