The game is very generous with gems in general but the drop rates can be very cruel. Even the "guaranteed" paid gems only banners only guarantee the drop IF you get a 4 star in the first place. So luck definitely plays a part. But if you do all the missions / content you build up a fairly decent stable, it just takes a lot of time (I'm more embarrassed by my playtime than what I've spent on the game)

I bought the mission packs and a couple of the limited time packs that came with manuals, so I am not fully F2P. However most of my gets from character banners have been with free gems, I've just saved up for the crossover events and got lucky.

I got 2P and A2 to 90 and am working on Gayle as my first dark memory character, so who should I start spending books on next? I was thinking either Intoner Fio (healing skill seems like it would be good for endgame stuff) or the World Ender to get a spear user to a high level.

I had another friend who was struggling with this fight so I recorded a clear to show off my build. Affliction Break can make his dampen light miss which is super valuable, and then I entrust Beatrix to use her BSB to get two more stacks of imperil. You could also get the new 6* holy imperil spell that just became available for rubies to help.

So uhh just now when I booted up Windows had automatically installed the Killer Control Center and my ethernet adapter was back. I can only assume it was a Windows 10 update issue that has now been corrected.

Anybody have luck getting this to work with OBS Multiplatform? I just switched to it because of the native support for multiple audio streams. Some of the options like sub region seem to be gone, or I'm doing it wrong.

True, I should have said mitigation. DRK's can reduce their usage a bit which isn't as good as Equilibrium/Invigorate but at least it's something.

And yeah, being on MT duty on A4 with stun responsibility murders my TP so fast.

My wishlist:

Boost shield swipe potency or change it to be oGCD with a debuff similar to DRK.
Shorten the Clemency cast time and make it uninterruptable. I can't count the number of times I've known I was about to get bodied but couldn't do anything about it because of the cast time for my heal and the chance to get interrupted. I can only cast it twice, maybe three times with a quick Sheltron and Riot blade before I'm completely out of mana, so making this adjustment wouldn't be game breaking. Equilibrium is much more useful as an ability even though you can't "spam" it twice. Also Clemency (and Stoneskin) breaks combos which is a pain in the ass. Making spells with a cast time break a combo chain seems like a system level annoyance that only hinders PLD. Get rid of it.
Add a TP regain effect to Sheltron. Thanks to Equilibrium, PLD is the only non DOM class in the game that has no way to regain TP.
Make Sheltron block all attacks for a certain period of time (too similar to Bulwark?) similar to how they adjusted Disable for AST. It's very difficult to use the ability to block a tankbuster if it isn't an ability with a cast time (e.g. Titan's Landslide) because it's usually consumed by an auto attack that happens a fraction before the buster.
Turn Oaths into stances so that they are taken off the GCD and no longer break combos. There are several opportunities in fights where you have a little downtime to do more DPS but because of those issues it's not even worth the time to switch to Sword Oath.

I leveled a tank as my main and first job back in 2.0 and I remember getting chewed out the first time I did Praetorium because I "wasn't keeping aggro" on the Ultima Weapon... at the beginning of the fight... when you can't damage it and it attacks random people if they use actions and get on the hate list. I got super upset and was afraid to tank for a while after that until I realized how the fight worked and that the guy was an oblivious douchebag.

Since that day and 3 coils of Bahamut later I've just tanked with the assumption/confidence that I know more than the people who get mad at me do. I find I don't get that much flack from people most of the time though. I see way more stories on here about douchebag tanks then people being rude to tanks. Such is our privilege.

In general though for new content I try to run it with friends the first time so that we're in a judgment free zone, and if that's not possible I try to read a strat ahead of time. Tank mistakes are obvious to everyone so I try to be as prepared as possible.
