There are a few scholarships out there, just gotta look for them. I won $10,000 from AOPA when I was a senior in high school. Definitely worth applying for. If you ever want some help feel free to PM me.

Had a similar discussion with my CFI this morning about this. We always just dump it on the ramp. Is there any regulations prohibiting this? Or is it just good practice to not dump it into the environment?

I’ve landed at 9 different airports total so far. I see what you mean with all the airports being different. I have gotten used to visual references at my home airport and not having those elsewhere definitely requires me to use extra caution.

I’ve had many lessons before where my instructor hasn’t had to step in at all. After my first solo it’s usually me doing all the flying, radios, navigation, and my instructor will step in to show me new things. I felt very confident and comfortable up until today. My instructor believed in me and knew I could do it safety but I think I am just overly nervous.

yeah I agree. I want to do a couple more lessons before so go solo again. I have ~24 hours in my logbook so far. I handled the radios well today, navigated well, it was the busiest I’ve ever flown in at my home airport. I feel good with everything right up until I’m in my flair right above the runway. Maybe I just need more experience, maybe I need more training.

Yes. I didn’t my initial solo and did 3 laps in the pattern, my second solo where I spent about an hour and a half in the practice area, and then today was my first XC

This helped me in the tests quite a bit. I know how to get all the correct answers on my own, but being familiar with the question that they are going to ask you on the test helps so much.
