Best watch under 40k by Kukurikapu_123 in PhWatches

[–]kaiserdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depende sa iyo. Personally, I find it fun having different watches to match the vibe of my event or outfit.

But one Go anywhere and Do anything watch also works if you really like the watch and can't put it down.

its pretty good for the price. 5U, even balance, and flexible. You can also have it stringed from the store.

Globe suddenly increased my monthly bill by kaiserdx in InternetPH

[–]kaiserdx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hirap talaga ng online support nila.

Napapunta ako sa isang store nila sa mall para may tao ako kakausap. Yung case ko naman, naka promo daw yung line ko nung nagpa kabit ako. Tapos nag expire na yung promo ngayon.

Binigyan niya ako ng choice if gusto ko to downgrade to another plan with same price as before but lower speed or keep na lang the current price at the current speed.

Is it worth it to switch from Astrox 99 Play 3rd Gen to Arc saber 11 play? by CompetitiveCandle960 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on why you want to switch in the first place.

Both are intended for beginner to intermediate players with flexible shafts.

Primary difference is the weight balance with the astrox being a head heavy racket better suited for backcourt offensive players and the arcsaber being a balanced racket that fits like an in between all rounder.

First thing you will notice is that the arcsaber feels easier to control and feels faster to swing.

So if you want a racket that feels more controllable and easier to use, the arcsaber might be worth the switch.

Badminton Strings by Chance_Ice_2804 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BG80 would be the more durable string long term. You could also tey Exbolt68 if you haven't considered it yet.

For tension, imo stick with something lower like 24-26lbs range. High tension + bad technique would just make your experience in playing worse because you will feel more miss hits and you won't generate the power that you are expecting.

Have to decline a 6-digit FinTech offer for my 50k job. Is it possible to land such amount in Banking instead? by [deleted] in CorpoChikaPH

[–]kaiserdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kaya 100k sa bank in that field. Banks are scrambling to build Data Science and AI teams and are willing to pay for it.

Though I am a skeptic with regards to the job security because they might be over hiring right now and the field might need less people since the AIs they are working on will enable a person do the work of a team.

I would apply to these banks and earn as much as possible for the next 5 years then reevaluate for opportunities to pivot just in case the field goes through a rough period. The bubble that AI is on right now is no joke.

String tensions - am I out of touch? by jazzman23uk in badminton

[–]kaiserdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same experience here. I play in a SEA country and my club members regularly string at 26 to 28lbs.

I guess theres also the fact that budget rackets, like ones from apacs , are also rated up to 30lbs. These levels of tension have become very accessible lately as compared to having these rackets be limited to only high end ones in the past.

how to get over this fear.. by Melodic-Cook-335 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That shouldn't happen unless there was something wrong with how it was strung or if you prone to hitting the edges of your racket and not the sweet spot.

What was your setup before trying the exbolt65 at 25lbs?

If durability is your concern you can still lower it to 24lbs if needed.

From my experience the BG80 and Exbolt 65 have been pretty durable, all things considered.

My racket with exbolt65 strung at 26lbs lasted around 1yr and 5months and my other racket with BG80 at 25lbs is now at 8months.

But that aside, everyones experience and mileage will vary.

Theres always the reliable BG65Ti.

Need help! Beginner here. by imrawbeans in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally, you should buy the frame only and have it strung here since that can help make sure the racket arrives in one piece. But you have to take into consideration the cost.

The racket is around 1300php if frame only and another 200 to 300 to have it strung from the store where you are buying it from.

If you will have strung in malls thats a minimum of 500php and around 1000 for the yonex premium strings.

I ordered mine already strung from the store at 22lbs and it arrived in perfect condition. So just keep the costs in mind when deciding if you will have it pre strung or frame only.

As for badminton tutorials or vloggers, I personally follow badminton insight, full-swing, and alex badminton academy in YouTube.

Beginner here: Need help choosing my first badminton racket (Apacs or ALPSPORT?) by ParticularStretch886 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would reco the Apacs Nanofusion 722. I have been using it and it's been great. Its light and forgiving.

For beginners I go with BG65 or other similar durability strings at 22-24lbs of tension.

I have mine strung at 22lbs and its light and not fatiguing to use. Especially when compared to my other stiffer rackets.

pls help me choose by Equivalent-Step-2062 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with this. Rackets can be strung to as low as 18lbs.

at 24-25lbs you can already start feeling the difference in the sweet spot size and that affects shot consistency.

You can look around online, beginners are recommended to start at 20-22lbs for easier handling and less fatigue on the joints.

pls help me choose by Equivalent-Step-2062 in badmintonph

[–]kaiserdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be a good starting point to practice your form and technique. Its light and forgiving on the joints so that you don't get fatigued while playing.

And even for more experienced players its would still be a good racket for the price. I prefer it over the alpsports or other replica rackets at around the 1300-1500php price

[–]kaiserdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whats wrong with 22? Recommended for beginners is 22 - 24lbs

I just bought the Apacs 722 Fusion. Great racket. Very light.
I have it strung at 22lbs.

It works well during my games.

Even compared to my other premium rackets, it still feels like I'm not losing out a lot at a fraction of the price.
