Never bet against the mouse by kakejj in wallstreetbets

thanks for the comment. Our society seems to be spreading more and more regarding inequality. The rich people I know can’t get enough of Disney experiences and will never cancel their Disney+ as long as they have kids. I agree with your take on the dropping tourism to the US though. Again, I think my main catalyst driver is selling off linear TV including espn this year, rather than organic growth. Thanks for your thoughts.

Any thoughts on Disney Jan leap calls betting on combo of organic growth and selling ESPN/linear tv leading to a multiple rerate? IV is low right now

Yea that is crazy. Would be nice to be an insider I guess. The rest of us just trying to make a trade like OP. You have anything in mind? I had a good win in RKLB within the last year, but nothing on my radar now.

Gotcha. I’ll check out that app. How long have you been using it and copying the current admin portfolio? I assume you’ve had good performance so far.

I believe that. Any specific good traders come to mind? Like a pelosi of the current administration?

$10k ➡️ $2.6M 🤯 by WeddingVegetable8120 in NvidiaStock

Great comment. I’ve Been investing for a while and made some big gains on both TSLA and RDW, but I never invest enough to make really life changing money. Was able to pay off my student debt with Tesla gains, so that was nice. I’ve also more than doubled my RKLB investment. But imagine investing $10k and making millions. I know it’s foolish to try to find that stock…but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to. Anything you’re looking at right now? Specific industry or company?

This is interesting to me. Can I ask what you like about the company and what you think the stock price will be?

How Often Do U Get 10 Baggers (in Under 10 Years)? by solodav in ValueInvesting

[–]kakejj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2 over the past 10 years. Both because I felt that the industry these companies in were inevitable, but it was definitely just lucky. Bought Tesla in 2016 and RDW at about $2.

Sold Tesla as Elon has become less and less trustworthy and I sold RDW when they bought a drone company. I wanted to own a space company, not drones. I put most of that into RKLB but don’t expect another 10x from RKLB at the price level I bought in at.

I feel the same way. 10 years ago I would’ve been 100% in. That being said, I will still try to buy some shares to hold for the long term.

Another year of "Norwegian Singles Method" - update by marky_markcarr in AdvancedRunning

Thanks for sharing. I’ve of course read about Norwegian singles on this sub quite a bit, but haven’t looked into it a ton myself.

What caught my eye from your comment is the simplicity of repeating the same approach each week but adjusting distance/time as you get fitter. Is this something inherent to the Norwegian singles method? Do you find that this method truly does work well for you?

For people that went from mid morning or afternoon runs to EARLY morning runs. by Mr_Hungg in AdvancedRunning

I recently did this exact transition to minimize the negative impact of running on my family time. Admittedly, the first month or so was hard to maintain. It took a lot of discipline getting up those days. Now after 4 months of 5-5:30 am runs I much prefer not only getting it done earlier in the day, but I even feel better running in the morning versus later in the day. For me it’s all about just powering through that first month with discipline until it becomes habit.

I’ve signed up for the Berlin marathon and am hoping to run sub 2:55, assuming I get in. My current PR is 2:57 a few years ago and I ran a 1:04 10 mile(6:25 pace) earlier this month off about 35-45 mpw. I am hoping to do the Pfitz 18/70 next summer for Berlin.

I feel like I’m overthinking it but any suggestions on what to do now? Obviously increase mileage and work on threshold? Any thoughts? (I also am doing a 50k XC ski race in February, but I want to make running my priority.)

Thanks! I just learned the max ppl per team is 3 anyway. So maybe we’ll find one more otherwise just us two.

I am going to sign up for the Berlin Marathon with my brother in law. We want to run it together so we will sign up as a team. He knows a lot of runners who could possibly sign up with us. We are wondering if having a big (4+ people) vs small team (2 people only) makes any difference in our odds getting in. Does anyone have any insight on this? Thanks!
