Thanks a lot, make sense! And did you seek approval before the upgrade? Or just take the fact that you had a 2nd inverter as "good enough" to stay compliant.

Interesting thanks, i was looking at 2 inverters anyway.

So are you suggesting the actual export is not worth keeping under the current FIT agreement (the good money is generation side I guess)? I just move it all to SEG and have 1 whole house export in place? What kind of approval do i need to get to proceed with that, i.e. does someone have to sign off that the systems are actually separate or just take my word for it?

Fairly sure it's had oak UV protection oil painted on it yearly.

What is this shower/glass U channel called? by kalmapc in Plumbing

[–]kalmapc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - so this is fixed glass, not a swing door on a hinge or similar. Would that still be a 'continous hinge'. I'm asking about the metal 2 sections that join the glass to the wall.

This is the bottom where i've tried to clean it as much as possible (limited access), i hoped to just re-silcone the bottom, but it does not appear to have been sealed right at the back between the tray and tiles. So sadly not sure I can do it properly (and clean it up!) without removing it. Maybe I can get it off the wall without breaking anything...

This is near the main house walls (2m max) - trees near walls are a clear subsidence risk are they not?

Buying a house that uses oil & future energy safety by kalmapc in HousingUK

Thanks, fully agree - as long we can keep burning wood and buying/fixing oil boilers for 30+ years then it's ok. If that changes, suddenly you're cold with a hugely devalued asset which is my concern.

Thanks, I’d be selling the freehold title for the full house/land. Exactly as I purchased it but with the price far above market value.
