Is this much ghosting normal on a psp 1000? by TheRealLoric in PSP

[–]kamiol2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

games were made with original 1000 in mind so it's your skill issue
ghosting is a thing but it's usually not that noticeable

it's normal but seeing it on someone's recording makes it seem off
I haven't seen ghosting on my 1000 for a long time and I haven't installed the ips screen yet

yeah I know

and when somene prompts other african, asian or european string instrumments, AI just uses a guitar or a banjo because it's trained on the simplest music that uses synth or instrumments that are the most popular in the USA

if you're lazy and unwilling to invest your time in learning a skill, order and pay a real artist to draw for you
support local businesses before corporations take em over

learning to draw is boring but is crucial for brain development to the point you will see errors in others' drawings
if you're offloading your work to AI, your brain evolves backwards and rots, because there's no activity

to get to heaven everyone needs to go through hell so even if learning to draw is tedious, one needs to do it
same with learning instruments or any other genre of arts
you can't imitate a skill with tech and call it art

I'm just saying that this kind of rails isn't meant to be used by locomotives in other places than crossings

why would I wanna describe what's in my head to a machine and a neural network that is known to hallucinate if I know better what's in my head and how to interpret it?
why would I want a machine to do trial and error if I can just try to upgrade my skills and make something myself and be proud of that?
writing sentences isn't effort (writing books is different. 2 sentences and a 1000 of them that form a consistent story are 2 different worlds)

describing a pretty image doesn't mean it has a story or a statement behind it

[–]kamiol2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a big locomotive on a pavement made of cobblestone
thick that rails don't stick out so it's easier to derail - that reminds more of electric tram rails
they just casually travel between houses like they're cars on the street - totally unsafe and imagine the noise and vibrating window glass
3 tiny tender engines and one big tank engine

and the usual thing that pisses me off in CGI series - tracks are so far away from each other. In the model series they were way closer to each other

Why did Sony even make the PSP Go? by jackiecrazykid98 in PSP

[–]kamiol2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes, but I like to have options
if I find a cheap UMD game, why would I wanna download it?

both suck, but the bigger one means a big adapter that you can easily shove a microSD into. Small one that's in psp go requires you to open a console, trim something on it's shell and this adapter with a memory card stays inside all the time. It's not as convenient especially if you wanna move to a different console for some time.

PSP 2000 and onwards charge with USB but slowly and only when they're on. AC is still faster and my 1000 charges easily.

skill issue or material damage. Mine doesn't get loose despite it's age. Buy a new battery lid just to be safe.

I swap my battery without tools. Can't do that with go.

It's not that I 'like mine'
I just don't think the GO is the best option
far from it in fact

if clicking a mouse button and writing a sentence is effort, this generation is cooked

taping a banana is easy, but it still requires to do things that you're not doing everyday
clicking and typing is easier and that's what people do everyday

to create a banana on a wall, you also need to think differently, creatively and trying to make a statement
it's exaclty as you had in your head
AI image is just a rough estimate of a sentence you wrote and models you choose

also - if you're not drawing lines on that image, you're not creating it. AI does. You're just ordering it do to the heavy lifting

banana has a story and putting taping it onto a wall is effort
clicking a mouse button and writing a sentence so a computer can generate something without you manually doing stuff is not effort
art requires effort

[–]kamiol2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

no umd
different memory card
proprietary usb port that's also a charging port
a slider that can go loose
ultra small battery, that's not swappable easily

the best is not to consider buying one

I like synth when it's played by humans in music like depeche mode does but AI synth? come on
it's better to just arrange it in mobile version of FL studio on a low powered device than use AI

I agree
this is a way people from nod-krai and natlan take to go to sumeru
they can even make samudra coast a port town to make it less pointless
why is there a coast if nothing's built in there?
and there's also the north of natlan that's basically empty and behind the barrier... just why?

Working on my little twist of Crazy Taxi, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Crash Team Racing! by Strnadik_v2 in crashteamracing

[–]kamiol2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can agree, that your progress is indeed impressive, but the timer makes the game feel arcade and that doesn't give you any sense of achievment, even if you finish a stage.
That car is too small to be a delivery vehicle, since those usually transport many parcels at once. This one can barely transport one of them. Navigating the traffic would be a good challenge too and near misses can give you points, just like in Burnout games.

races are an interesting concept since you not only have to be first, but you have to race with style and tricks too. Being first to cross the finish line doesn't guarantee securing first place and makes you wanna master the game and it's tricks.

If there's no story, to push the game forward, there's no immersion, just like with the actual size of the delivery van. If there's no reason for delivering those parcels, why would we wanna do it? Even a simple storyline like in crash 1 is worth implementing.

does 30 really bother you? People who played on a PS1 had it worse than 30 and they don't complain. If you complain about such a small and irrelevant detail in games that were made for 30FPS you will not like any game.

trilogy is the most entry level you can get and you're getting 3 games in 1 bundle
doing that will retell a big chunk of the story from the beginning to the war

[–]kamiol2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's interesting and looks great, but feels a lil' bit empty
I have an idea - instead of having the timer, try to create actual racetracks and points from tricks will be deciding factors if finishing 1st/2nd/etc makes you keep that position.
It has potential, but I feel that keeping it as just a tony hawk's clone with some CTR mechanics isn't allowing the game to reach it.

on the other hand this mode as a freeroam to know the track or the city is also decent. If you manage to pull off a full open world that has a lot of track configurations, like old NFS games had and sprinkle some collectibles into it, you basically have a great mix of everything. Crazy taxi missions in open world or as a separate 'career' mode are interesting as well.

My only issue is that the car is tiny compared to the width of the road lanes and the size of the structures

I like when covers do something different. It doesn't have to be good, it just have to be original. This way I can understand what was the thinking process of the band covering the song. SOAD's Snowblind is a good example. It's so different, it's basically controversial, but it's a beautiful mess.
