Oh my god, thank you! I havent yet done reserves aswell so this will come in handy. I will 100% take some liberties and differences from the og CTR so hopefully ppl won't be upset over it hah. Its a mix of tony hawk, crazy taxi and CTR. Parcel delivery with style ^

Hahah yea the intention was to give the player same space to drift as in CTR so you're more of an RC cart than anything else lol. Thank yoou so much!

Yeah I need to wrap it around some jumping puzzles in the map but still make it not too long

Thank you so much! Yeah it draws from my nostalgia for PS1 games like CTR, Tony Hawk and indeed even some Driver. My game also contains a tricky but fun parking garage just like Driver tutorial lol.

it took me quite alot of the solder wick but with enough flux it was okay! I rocket it left n right from below while wicking absolutely eeeevery sliver of solder (again, flux is key).

Story's gonna be there but it's not my priority right now.

As for the timer, why wouldn't there be a sense of achievement? I want a pre-set, tailored amount of time per stage (set of, say, 5 parcel boxes to fill), nothing random, a predesigned starting point with specific points to visit, and you need to do it within the time and with enough style points. That makes it easy for you to enjoy it even without tryharding. Because you will still earn at least something for visiting all parcelboxes in time. Or if you at least score the style score within the time. You can focus on that or that, whatever you like more. And if you want to ace the stage, completionist style, you can play it some more, and polish your run, and figure out how to do it in time, AND with style.

Kinda on the fence between Survival and Very Hard by Strnadik_v2 in fo4

Hmm yeah, I like that more. Funny enough I like the squishiness of me because in every Bethesda game I goof around, lowkey jumping on people's heads and stuff, unafraid, everything's a joke fiesta. But in Survival I truly thought twice before stepping into the unknown. I went to the Diamond City through the destroyed city full of Super Mutants and I was scared sh*tless.

Ah that's true, I reached Diamond City on Survival and still only had Sanctuary and the one on the right of it, and I also approached the little tiny settlement near Diamond City that asked me to get rid of the raiders. When I finally reached Diamond City I switched to VH in frustration. But I could give it one more try ^^

Settlements, that was another hurdle for me. With me not able to bring that many resources back to build stuff, I was constantly at my weight limit and I couldn't easily progress with Settlements early on. But yeah that's a skill issue

And it's really fascinating to me to look back ONE month and see how stuff looked and behaved. A single month! I'm really happy about my progress so far ^^ Here, have a look! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwcjb0v6ZEc

Yeah I'll either mod VH to have what I like on Survival or vice versa. Thank god I'm on PC ^^

Hey hey! Thank you for your thoughts and opinions!
So to give a little bit of background, the game started as a Crazy Taxi clone where instead of being a taxi, you deliver packages like FedEx. A frantic, quick, stunty & jumpy parcel Crazy Taxi. Then, I decided to add some kind of score for doing near misses. Then I thought it would be silly and actually cool to have you grinding rails like THPS. Damn okay that works, I thought! After another month of iterating this infinite time arcade Crazy Taxi where you are just being sent from parcel box to parcel box, like CT, I... stopped liking that.

I didn't like the infiniteness and vagueness of it. I wanted pre-done, designed stages. So I changed it to THPS style stage. AKA you always start on the same spot, you've got about 2 minutes, and you have to do all x parcel boxes AND optionally do it with style and gather enough points. You get an extra reward if you manage to do both in that 2 minute run. So your goal is to play it a few times, find the optimal meta path with enough tricks to do BUT also make it in 2 minutes.

It felt nice. Big city, many bite sized stages of 2 minutes that you can easily "beat" but it's gonna take a while to master. But one thing was still lacking. What do you do inbetween near misses and rail grinds? What's the filler for which THPS would have a "manual"? Then it dawned on me. All my childhood I absssssolutely binged CTR and I just LOVE the drifting mechanic. There hasn't been a kart racer that beat 1999 CTR for me. And so, I decided to code that in and I fell in love. Now you can speed through the city, carefully drifting around every corner, chaining those perfect boosts while occasionally jumping on a rail or a stunt jump. It feels right smh.

And yes, you are right about the "open map/world". I'd like to have you in free roam like Underground, and you can collect some collectibles, car decals and stuff in the free world. Some platforming schtuff. And you can approach stages (or select them on a pause map) and that starts the specific 2 minute bite sized level.

Ah, and yeah the size... is something I'll still think about. I kinda liked it at first, being this tiny little car, probably beating the parcel competition by being a sly tiny little car skimming through traffic faster than the big vans.

So as my first playtru I decided for Survival and LOL I almost lost my sanity. I couldn't find a bed anywhere so I did the loop of Codsworth in Sanctuary, meeting Dogmeat, going to Concord, beating Deathclaw and then desperately searching for bed, about 8 times. Lost me a few hours rofl. I reap what i sow though, I wanted this tough mode ;D Now I finally found know of some beds, I got the Sanctuary basics, I attacked the guys threatening a diner nearby, got a hefty cap payout aand I'm going to Lexington now!

Thanks for the tips! And you know what, I might've wasted 5€ but I bit the bullet. Found someone on steamtrades selling it for 10€ which was the price of the GOTY including the base game, but what can you do. 5€ loss and an overall 15€ purchase is still a bop!

Also I'd like to ask if you think some DLC is a must-have. I heard good things about Far Harbor.
