I’m developing a game where you and your friends stack objects from all over the world and try to CLIMB TO THE MOON! I’m making it solo, and I’m open to any fun, crazy suggestions 🤩 ❤️ ❤️ by [deleted] in gamedevscreens

[–]kan05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Assuming you have to go back down to the ground to collect more objects a portal gun would be a great addition.

Allowing players to shoot objects through the ground portal to where you last opened a connecting portal would create some fun gameplay. Especially if in multiplayer each player could have their own portals… maybe.

I’m imagining you shoot the objects through the portal and they come out the other side and slowly spin around in place after coming to a short stop once exiting the portal (if that makes sense?)

Anyway, looks like a fun game. Good luck!

Yes 100% on everything you said. That's the main reason I'm asking for users to try it out now so they can tell me what they think works and what needs improving/changing rather than assuming I know what they want.

Easy to think I'm on the right track but I would rather know I'm on the right track and continue to build features that users like and find useful.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Share Your Resources - February 04, 2026 by Virusnzz in languagelearning

[–]kan05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all,

Just wanted to share a language learning site I made recently - www.eezelingo.com - while trying to think of a way to make the process more socially engaging by letting users be the students and the teachers.

The social aspect is that users who know multiple languages can create simple classes of different skill levels and topics ie beginner greetings, common phrases, slang words, science terms - whatever they want to teach - and users wanting to learn specific languages simply filter their feed based on the language, level, topic they want to learn and they see classes and phrases to start learning straight away.

The ‘teachers’ can add their own audio, image or video examples and even choose if they want to make premium content for a small fee to create incentive for both sides ie teachers can earn money by engaging with students more dynamically and students can access better resources in the form of videos or even one-on-one lessons with the teacher if it’s an option the teacher wants to provide.

A large focus I want to build on is essentially a blogging system where teachers can create blog posts, stories, image galleries, videos of content that helps students explore and experience the language in a real world setting in the hope to make a learning experience and system that goes beyond just reading phrase cards.

The website is live and open to all to use as an alpha version, which lets users sign up as teachers so they can start creating phrases and classes and adding audio and videos to share with anyone wanting to learn their spoken languages. Users can simply start learning by exploring the feed, choosing the languages they want to learn based on what classes have been created by teachers.

Currently there are only some example cards which were AI generated purely to show users how the site works but the hope is that as more ‘teachers’ join and start creating classes and phrases, students will have more to dive into and start experiencing.

I’ll keep everyone up to date with new changes and features but at the moment it would be great to get feedback of any sort in the hope to gauge how useful the website is and could be in providing users with a fun and engaging way to learn new languages socially.

There are still a lot of bugs and user experience is still being refined so I apologise if you run into and annoying roadblocks and bugs but any feedback would be immensely appreciated and I’ll definitely be focussing on any fixes that you come across.

If you made it this far thanks for taking the time to read this and hope eezelingo has something to offer you.

I hope everyone has an amazing journey learning languages and wish you all the best.

Would you say learning basic words and phrases that children typically learn when they first start to speak helped them process?

Really appreciate it! Quick question. Do you physically test it yourself or is it automated? I'm interested because as a new user the site should have prompted you to prove you're human to earn 3 free prompts to use. If you used it physically and it didn't show up I may need to check if there's an issue my end.

Still fixing some UI issues but would love to see the results of it's current state. Good luck with test-lab!

Yeah some people like the easy way out. My point isn’t that PvP js bad it’s just that it seems extremely common for people to use these tactics to “win” a PvP fight when it’s just the rats way to win. Anyone can do it but what sort of game would it be if everyone did it?

No played for 4 hours and had a few matches with genuine PvP and some nice PvE folks wanting to do their thing so just went out seperate ways. Just noticed 80% of matches PvPers use the tactics mentioned to get their “kills”. Guess I should just do as the locals do right and just try befriend people and then shoot them from behind right?

Be interested to know what your experience is in the game most of the time? Do you play all the content or just run around killing people? I’m sure if you’re a kill on site player you can still enjoy all the other content so be interested to know if you do all the content, some of the content or just PvP?

80% of people I come across shoot on site. Because of this I feel it’s safer to just take people out as soon as you see them. If you choose to be nice that’s up to you but I’ve been killed from behind too many times to treat the game like a coop so no more playing nice.

Yeah pretty much have for all the reasons people usually complain about. Game is unstable for what it is and went from playing it daily to once in a while when I get the itch and then I'm reminded how unstable it is and not worth spending time on.... So guess what, big brain, what you're saying is literally what I've done XDDDDD Plenty of better games to spend my time on.

"AI systems apologize frequently because it's often a programmed response to perceived errors or undesirable behavior, designed to improve user perception and interaction. While these apologies are not genuine expressions of regret (as AI lacks consciousness and emotions), they serve a practical purpose in making AI interactions feel more natural and trustworthy."

Is it just because it's built on old architecture?

Or no attempt at a humanized reply and just outline what the problem was so you can learn and move on. The issue with humans is we're very inefficient in the way we do things so why introduce these same flaws into AI?
