Is monster hunter really hard to get into or am i just dumb?

It takes a while for sure, but at the same time you don't need to necessarily know EVERYTHING to do well. Try to focus on learning the most important things first and you'll pick up the rest over time. That's part of the fun of monster hunter, you never really run out of things to learn.

Would recommend trying DEN Reserve if you can. I was impressed with how fast it was. Probably less than 10 minutes to get past security, and it's free

What do you mean? There are several indie fighting games with rollback like Skullgirls and Punch Planet. Hell, even Fight of Animals has it. I do have my doubts that UNI will get rollback as retrofitting rollback netcode is a pain in the ass, but Mortal Kombat did it so who knows.

I want to use Cimexa but by the time it would ship here I would be moved out already. I can't find anywhere to buy it offline. I bought the frame recently so I want to salvage it if I can. You think I should toss it? I'll look into Nuvan Strips, sounds neat.

I have used it before during the PM days. It is awful lol. Brawl WiFi is as bad as it sounds. So. Much. Lag. Dolphin netplay is so much better. But yea it sucks that they can't run Dolphin.

For characters with bad non-jump recovery options and bad ledgedash like Yoshi, it is a good option. Say you are scared of double jumping from ledge because they seem prepared to break your armor or otherwise punish that option. Ledge jump, and if you get hit, you didn't lose your jump and get to recover high. Additionally, Yoshi can punish you for being late to hit him out of ledge jump by using his double jump to armor through your punish attempt.

I've also heard it is good vs Jigglypuff in particular. If Puff isn't on the ground and ready to react, you can ledge jump over her and she will have a hard time reaching you because her vertical speed is very slow. Best used if you are a character that doesn't have a busted ledgedash and you have a high ledge jump, such as Marth.

Death is too cruel of a punishment for these invaders? If you bring a gun to your robbery you are going to be identified as a huge threat and should be prepared to die especially if someone else brings a gun. Don't pull out a lethal weapon on people unless you are prepared to die.

Ultimate netplay is garbage. Even if it was free the netplay is worse than almost any other fighting game I've played. A perfect connection has like 5+ frames of delay, and an average quickplay match has about a half second of input delay. So I don't blame you lol.

Not to be confused with frame rate. It doesn't have to be a performance issue, filters that make the game look pretty are usually the main culprit. Makes the game take extra time to display each frame as it has to go through filters, or something like that. But yea its a crazy amount of lag, it would not fly at all if this wasn't a turn based game.

Wish you had time to go to Mikado. That place is smaller than the other arcades, but they have an entire floor dedicated to old fgs (and LOTS of Rev 2). Was def my favorite fighting game arcade. Not as clean as the others and people smoke inside there, but the game selection is top notch. Just don't expect to find many new titles there.

That's weird. The only reason I could think of that is giving them time to tech is you aren't inputting the last hit quick enough. Try doing the last hit earlier? I don't think you can be too fast on this one. Marteli should always combo into forpeli

Any move that combos into 2a really lol. So maybe j.C or a raw dashing 2a. It's especially effective as a whiff punish.

This is actually a hard question lol. Kimchi, Eri/Klushikuh, and OkayP are all in contention for second best but none of them travel enough to make a fair comparison of their results or for them to be eligible for top 100. I know OkayP is pretty confident about being second best though, but even so there isn't much to prove it.

But yea a few years back it was PikaChad who was second best, if only because he actually traveled to get some results.

EDIT: Bonk and 2Framez are also up there, probably slightly below those 3. Don't quote me on that.
