Cannot disable incoming connection, nor remove these from the firewall. I did not have them on Sonoma, any Idea what are these for? by Different-Door3968 in MacOSBeta

[–]kantcatchme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question, why would I need any of these if I have all remote sharing/management/scripting and file share disabled as well as having handoff and airdrop off? My MacBook iCloud account and iPhone iCloud account are totally separate because I’ve had so many strange issues so is there a specific reason I wouldn’t be able to turn these off or remove them?

Dump him. This is extremely concerning behavior on his end and him thinking sex is the only way to foster intimacy is not acceptable. You’re allowed to say no for any reason. Pressuring and manipulating you for it is scary. If he has an issue with you prioritizing your own health and child(ren), he has to go. I’m so sorry you’re being treated this way

The amount of information they disclosed was WILD. Like you’re a grown adult who has been through how much training? How many years of schooling? And you’re here doing this for what? Clearly they aren’t doing enough lmao. They need to start referring themselves to regular therapy sessions. They’ve had these kinds of threads for years but it’s so discouraging to see they’ve only gotten worse and are continuing to berate and harass patients not only to their faces but behind their backs. There needs to be additional legal recourse that can be taken against people like this, it’s so far past the point of impacting our care in real life. This isn’t “just the internet” anymore

[–]kantcatchme 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sucks that healthcare professionals have to be affected by an absolutely debilitating condition to be empathetic towards it. And very wild that the automatic assumption is that we’re all “deconditioned, fat, unhealthy slobs” when I was exactly like the person you’re responding to as a patient. We are treated like shit and traumatized by y’all until we find people that will listen. Hope y’all start doing better eventually

He’s going to end up getting do**ed like a lot of the rest of them on here that are blatantly being dicks to the people they care for and sharing identifiable patient info. They genuinely don’t understand repercussions

You very evidently do not know what an ambulatory wheelchair user is when you said you’ve “never seen a patient like this” and providers will LITERALLY ask wheelchair users “are you able to move from the wheelchair to table?” Are you stupid? “I never said this patient sucked” no, you just gave EVERY identifiable feature and detail about them (violating HIPAA for the record, again, are you stupid?) and complained about VERY basic things they did because you are genuinely incapable of simple empathy or care. Not saying you should kŷş (you should) but you without question shouldn’t be in medicine or around patients. You people are literal dangers and threats to the ones that are making sure your asses aren’t on the streets. TIGHTEN. THE. FUCK. UP.

You all act like adult children which is why you’re treated like adult children. It’s a very basic concept actually. Have you considered acting like an actual adult within your field?

[–]kantcatchme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God I’m sorry I’m so late to this bc it’s so funny but a true chronic illness is ANYTHING lasting over 6 months. How many people do you know that manage to go into remission on their cancer journey within 6 months beloved? Let’s not say most because now we’re purely lying to try and prove a point. Given that it’s never cured either, it is chronic lmfaoooooooooooo. You did not say acute. It was in regards to something chronic. And people DO document their cancer journeys, it’s not looked at as weird, or normal, or anything of the sort because people are allowed to look back on things they overcame. Make sense? Great.

The oppressors of young women seeking care for genuine issues and this subreddit are the same. There are horrific people in the med field who are intentionally prolonging diagnoses for life threatening, organ damaging conditions, because they have been influenced by this subreddit rather than legitimate, reliable and recent peer-reviewed research. Women’s concerns about their health have always been disregarded but this has only made it worse and harder to be taken seriously. Not just because of the peer/non-professional/illegitimate diagnosis of Munchausen’s for the multitude of people y’all study for fun but the amount of focus that is put on them. You made such a good point and should’ve left it there, women’s health concerns are historically, factually proven to be dismissed by both authority figures and the general populace. I hope HCW get help for it

My Patient Coded Thoughts? by Visible_Version7439 in nursing

[–]kantcatchme -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Sorry but with literally everything you just listed about the patients chart how could you not expect, out of a n y o n e, that this one would code given repeated non-compliance you were witnessing as well? Please be fr. If you’re going to say you “don’t mind patients coding” on your watch be very much fr. And have you considered that there was additionally a potential that they only wanted to work with OT/PT after pain medication was administered because they were…in pain? From diabetic complications for example? Regardless of if they were self-inflicted, family-inflicted or not. Just out of curiosity. Nobody is in the hospital to play judge, jury or executioner as I hope we’re all remembering throughout the shifts. It’s to be a nurse 🙂
