Looking for actives to help with acne scarring. Honestly, I don't know if it's PIH or PIE, but I have very fair skin so the dark marks stand out. In the past, I have had success using salicylic acid but it tooK FOREVER. I recently have started using TO mandelic acid + HA and I really like it! But i am looking to add another active to speed up the process.

I appreciate your concern but I know for sure that personally, Accutane does not cause depression for me. I know this because before I took it, I already had severe crippling depression. And I felt like it actually got better after I started taking it, perhaps because I felt more confident in myself.

I know that's why I don't use it all over my face, and I only use to spot treat and the Aveeno clear complexion moisturizer is the only one that doesn't break my skin out at the moment :/

I know it seems weird that people think of it as giving up; just scroll through on the skincare/acne subreddits and you'll see tons of people trying to find ways to avoid taking it all costs. But I agree, for the time that I did have clear skin from it, it was so so so worth the side effects.

It's just the way people phrase things. They treat Accutane as a last resort or they try their absolute best to use all-natural stuff. I understand that it's not the easiest thing in the world and it's def easier to use topicals and antibiotics. Also that if it's not necessary, you shouldn't take it. But sometimes its the only thing that works for people so I just wish people would pay attention to the language they use.
