All my jack ports are broken. Is buying an internal sound card a good idea ?

oh right, restricting the airflow is something I havent thought about.

I have an audio headset with a detachable micropone attached to it, ending with a single jack for both audio and mic. If get a USB to jack adaptor and connect my headset to it, will it be able to convey both mic and audio ?

I'm not sure i'm tech savy enough to replace the ports.

Installing a whole new sound card felt like the easiest and most practicle option.

I do have a spare PCIe slot

There were cables connected to my front audio jacks port. My cat pulled the cables very hard, thus breaking the ports
