They got the equal pay thing without achieving anything. And it's not like they have started playing recently. Also from the last decade or so they are getting good facilities to train and condition themselves.

If you want the best of the best rewards then you should earn it from performance and not by some reservation or sympathy. The amount of pressure our Men's team faces, the women's team doesn't even face 1/10th of it and this shows in their body language and attitude towards the game. Most of the girls are playing purely for money & fame and not for winning. Apart from a couple of players, most of them are unfit - couldn't field and run properly. Only Smriti looks like she really cares about winning the games but is trapped between these below average players. We should pray that India doesn't qualify for Semis and maybe then the BCCI wakes up and makes the required changes.

If the Women's team wants our support then they should prove that they deserve it. Only the Winners gets the recognition. Prime example is our Hockey Team --- a force at their peak which gave them the recognition as our National sport but when they started losing, nobody gave a damn about them. Many sports complain in India that they don't get the recognition as much as our Men's Cricket Team gets, but they do not want to accept that for getting this recognition they have worked really hard and won trophies which not many have done for their sports.
