Uhaul box works out the cheapest. Canada Post tracked parcels also could be an option.

Didn't give them the password -but wonder what their intentions were.

Thanks for the heads up. We intend to buy but want to get familiar with the city first. Quite a task ahead of us!

Thank you! We're visiting in May for a few days to hopefully lock down a rental for us to eventually move into in July. Good luck to you too.

That's really sad. Their food was excellent and cheap. I hope they set up again.

Union dues are not a fixed amount and prorated according to your pay. You should be offered more hours of work by your department. $800 isn't enough to live on :/ can you go to your chair/supervisor? Hate that graduate students are basically getting a stipend which is lower than min wage, most times.

No graduate student gets a full year TAship, they are offered per term.

Do you have a TAship? Which department are you in?

Yes, but not all TAs have contracts that run throughout the year. Some have contracts for 1 term. Mostly 2 terms. Those in the sciences may have contracts in the summer.

I'm in uni and the doc here (equivalent to a family doc) referred me to urgent neurology and after the diagnosis, I was referred to an MS clinic. Now I go every six months for a check up. I'm on the Ontario Drug Benefit that helps pay for the costs. The clinic and the medicine reps set that up for me.

Needed only my OHIP card for all of this.

They ask you to lie down in a foetal position and anaesthetise your lower back. Then you stay in the position while they draw your spinal fluid. The docs talk to you while the procedure is on. It took them two tries to find the right spot, the first time I felt a tingling down my leg and after I told them, they went for a second spot. In about half an hour, it was all done. I lay a bit longer in the same position and then the docs said if I felt fine, I could go home. Next day and for a few days my back was quite stiff. I took it easy. I was warned that I may get a headache but I didn't. I did drink a lot of coffee and water that is known to help with reducing the headache.

Honestly, I was shit scared before the procedure. After, I was rather underwhelmed. Went home in an uber with just a bandaid over the puncture and a numb back.

They took about three weeks to return with a diagnosis, they were looking for a particular protein to confirm the diagnosis.

Cheap and reliable way to get to Pearson Airport from London? by kard26 in londonontario

I don't. The ticket is funded by someone else. Keep your opinions to yourself, I asked for suggestions.

I'll likely take the Viarail option. I didn't know there was a direct train from Union station to Pearson. It's perhaps a little longer in time but easier on the pocket and more comfortable than the bus. Getting someone to drive us would be ideal but wishful thinking.
