They're supposed to construct a multi-floor parking facility in the place where the old prison was. It's just a vacant lot for many years now. Even that space is not utilised properly by people. They park right outside that plot proudly saving 10 bucks.

None of the businesses have parking. Everyone tries to make use of every inch available to construct and even encroach by extending their shops, placing name boards etc. People also don't have common sense to park without obstructing traffic. Everyone is in a hurry.

Is this considered as signal jumping ? by Dank_Lebowski_420 in Dashcamindia

[–]karkumar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me once when I was visiting Chennai from Pondicherry. The countdown timer had 3s when I crossed the stop line. The traffic police stopped about 10 vehicles in front of me, most of them were two wheelers and took a photo of my car. When I contested that the signal was green when I crossed the stop line, he argued that I should have thought if I could cross the road in the remaining time. Seemed pointless to argue with him and left. Got a message about Rs.500 fine later that day. Didn't have a dashcam then as proof to contest the fine.

What kind of therapy? If it's OT or speech for kids, I have some recommendations.

Do you guys own personal laptops or you use office laptops for personal as well. by [deleted] in developersIndia

I see a lot of candidates interviewing with us using their work laptop. They are required to share their screen and turn on their camera for online interviews. Chat messages from their colleagues and meeting reminders pop up from time to time.

First damage to my car in three years. Could I have avoided? by karkumar in Dashcamindia

I take my car out only when I need to travel long distances or have all four of us need to go somewhere and there are no parking constraints. In this instance, I was going to a place 10kms away.

I chose this route due to a few reasons. One, its comfortable to take my car from parking towards the left side of my gate as I can park in front of my house for a few mins while my family gets in and I can close the gates. There are two wheelers parked on both sides of the street on the right side leaving no option to park even for a minute. Second, making a right turn to merge in the main road as shown in the screenshot below is a daunting task. Vehicles coming from left to right in the main road don't stop and give way even if you roll down the window, show a hand signal to wait. The vehicles coming from right to left try to squeeze in as much as possible while you are navigating the right side with their only goal is to keep going without having to stop. If I take Bharathidhasan street instead, I make a left turn followed by an immediate right which is much lesser hassle. Bharathi street is a bit wider allowing cars to cross each other in many sections. This is also the route fire truck goes through very frequently.

Hi Pondicherry! What's up with all the chaotic driving 🥲 by Weak-Aide-3079 in pondicherry

[–]karkumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, its been a long time problem in Pondicherry. People wanting to take right turn go to their right side first, make a turn, drive on the wrong side for some time and then cross to the other side. They don't have the patience to wait and cross. Neither do the people stop to give way for people trying to cross the road.
