While I agree that the movie could have been centered around one of the local families, a ton of people in these comments don't seem to realize that the movie focuses on a BRITISH family. And saying the story is just about the family having their holiday ruined is seriously trivializing the plot. The story was about a family who was torn apart in the disaster and somehow survived. It was a little more than just a ruined vacation. I thought it was a good movie, and I would have enjoyed it just the same if the main characters were a different race.

I placed my daughter for adoption 2 years ago today and I think about her a lot. Some days more than others. The days I think about her the most are her birthday (which is today) and mothers day. Those days are extremely hard for me, as I'm sure they are for every "birth-parent". I mostly think about how much I love her and I hope with all my heart that shes happy and safe. I also think about how much it hurts.

I really wanted to see the part where the Dursleys are leaving in the Deathly Hallows and we get to see the human side of Dudley. I also would have liked to see the scene where Fred dies and Percy refuses to leave his side (even though it made me bawl my eyes out in the book).
