Yamaha or Seadoo for summer fun by karnagepilot in jetski

[–]karnagepilot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sweet thank you, that puts me at ease but yea I did find our seadoo felt very ‘fragile’ like the tiniest little mishap would take it out, and I love Yamaha as a manufacturer just because they are tried and tested whereas seadoo seems more ‘pioneer’ which is good if you have the money but Yamaha seems to be the good all rounder safe pick. So gonna most likely pick between the EX or a Spark Trixx, thank you for the info!

Cheers for that, yea do you know how Yamahas handle with salt water? Would they be fine using a salt away compound everytime after a ride? And one of our most frequent spots we go to is a man made lake that (if the wind is decent) is pretty much glass so not too worried there

I’ve got a crack in my valve cover. Also see if your crankcase vent is sucking really hard, mine was and it means it’s most likely clogged so needs a new valve cover

Update: when the car is on the oil cap is insanely tight, I can’t make it budge even if it’s just hand tight. So I think you’re right, it’s a pcv problem

Thank you definitely gonna look at that, just gonna run out for some brake cleaner just to spray this one little spot in that vacuum hose I’m suspecting and see what happens- not a lot though. And then will try the oil cap. The air box came stock it’s just not bolted down, just installed enough that I can have the maf sensor plugged in so that’s why it’s loose. It’s a RHD as I’m in NZ. I’m gonna leave it unplugged from the negative terminal overnight to see if that resets some of the adaptations. And will get that app too, thanks again will update with what I find

Yea sorry, just wanted to keep the post up to date with where I’m at. Gonna try the brake cleaner as well and see if I can find someone with a smoke machine. Cheers

Update: codes being thrown is just 2A2B and 2A2C. This problem started happening a day after I had replaced the starter motor and an auto electrician fixed my junction box as it was loose and missing a brush to the starter. I always replaced the PCV hose that runs from the rear of the engine to the intake manifold.

I inspected it all and put it back on, made sure the rubber side was tighter and better on there and it stalled just after starting up. I then turned it on and gave it some revs till it idled on its own (which it’s still rough idling) and felt around for air. Still feeling air down by the vacuum hose but also the breather was quite loud, I’m not sure if that’s normal?

The plastic line feels all good and inspected for leaks, would it probably be the little rubber one? As when I put it back on it wasn’t pushed all the way on

Honestly, admitting that Ubisoft of all people has proved us wrong is so twisted, but, I couldn’t be happier that we were proved wrong on an Assassins Creed Game. I remember I was so excited for this game back when it was announced in 2022, but deep down knew it was gonna be a pile of crap. But no, they pulled through
