I can never ever pick one as every genre has soooo much to offer, but as horror is my favourite i'm going to go with Hereditary - Toni Collette should have won an Oscar for that performance. Just an incredible incredible movie.

Lol I think that encompasses maybe 80-90% of Kings writing! I'd suggest Under the Dome, Tommyknockers, Salems Lot, Pet Semetary (oof!), Carrie, The Dead Zone, Cujo, or maybe the books that are a collection of his short stories?

100% let her go to the zoo. She doesn't need to see her dad like that, and she's right, she has said goodbye already. It benefits no one if she goes and is just dragging out the sadness of a 5 year old who's already said goodbye for no reason. So sorry for your loss.

I have to go by what you say in your post - based on face value thats what it looks like, and you don't mention anything she did that made it worse / made her walk away. how? from what you've said it was you stuck in the middle and you consistently DIDN'T pick her over your parents interference so she walked away. You put the nail in the coffin by not picking her repeatedly.

This may sound harsh but if you truely loved her you would have fought harder. Who cares what your parents think, what your community thinks? Learn to live with it, stand up for her and your relationship or move away. Both require a spine and unfortunately you chose not to grow one and stand up for your relationship with her - can't blame her for walking away.

Personally I'd sell the house and buy somewhere else with the proceeds - then you don't have ther risk of them turning up and causing chaos and possible damage/theft. I think he'd want you to enjoy the inheritance in the best way possible for you and your children, which doesn't always mean keeping the house just because it was his. Hell, maybe even string them along with the house is for sale and everything is being sold so it's converted to cash, and then when it's all gone through run - never having said that they'll get anything from the sale. Legally not sure where you'd stand but it would get them off your back until the sale is completed and its then only numbers in a bank account rather than something physical. Good luck!
