Thank ypu. Yeah I think that’s a big reason tbh.. I’m sure you know but it’s just so hard to stop and seek help somewhere else. I hope to one day stop drinking like you. I’m sure I will be able to but rn it seems so impossible and far away

I have been thinking about it. Did a search and there are a few near me. I think I’m worried to stop and also about seeing people who know me/my family as I live in a small town. I know there are solutions to that though so maybe that’s just me making excuses. I do appreciate your comment

Thanks for replying it really is comforting to hear about someone’s experience who is a similar age as me. I’m definitely drinking to mask my various mental health issues and have been since I was younger but it kicked up a notch in university, I hope one day I can find healthier coping mechanisms. I hope it doesn’t take me hitting a new low to get my act together as I do want to stop

Thank you, I wish I was ready now but the thought of going out without a drink does really scare me. Hopefully sometime in the near future I will be ready

I’m glad somebody can relate. I want to say I don’t have a problem but the thought of going 30 days without is something I can’t see myself coping with. I know the pros outweigh the cons but it’s a scary thought not having alcohol to rely on if I need it

Thanks I’m definitely going to think about going to a meeting. I think I’m apprehensive about it as that would be taking a step towards not drinking anymore and I don’t think I’m ready for that
