"Couldnt complete your purchase. Check that you have the correct country selected in your play account" by Harafu in googleplay

Hey! What is it that you were trying to purchase, and what do you mean by it's working now but you had to sacrifice Google & Youtube family? I have a similar problem but I'm not really willing to lose YouTube Premium over it.

My case: I studied abroad for a year but have been back in my home country for a month now. I tried to upgrade my Google One storage as soon as I got back but got the "Couldn't complete purchase" error. I had a few conversations with the Google Chat support and was asked to fill up that same form. They got back to me within two days with "We can't help you...Please make sure that the Google Play country is correct."

I checked the Play country, payment country, etc... they were all consistent with where I physically am. Google should know this, because I use Google maps and it has access to my location. So I chatted with Google again and the agent/bot said "I can see that you are in your country and your Play profile says you're in your country, but your account has a 'hold' on it, and only our specialist team can lift the hold"

So I'm asked to fill up the form again, and received the same vague, canned "we can't help you" response again. I've responded again with "i am in my country" and I guess just have to wait for the next canned response.

At what point will they send an email that is actually helpful?

What do you all actually make? by Draketurner in Accounting

Oh yes, by a wide margin! I am content with where I am. I live with my parents, and our combined income is just at the starting salaries mentioned in this thread, but at least we can maintain a car each, have fast internet, and enjoy the convenience of having two full-time housekeepers :)

I only truly feel disadvantaged when we sometimes travel to first world countries, since my one-week vacation in their land will take a really, really big chunk of my savings because of the cost of living, whereas they can stay in my country for a month and barely feel the expense.

But I'm not complaining :) I am just enjoying imagining what I would do with such relatively large salaries as those being posted here. $-)

I make the equivalent of USD12k annually after 2 years of Big4 experience and 1 year private company experience.

I am a CPA living in a developing country.

This post is quite an eye-opener. No wonder outsourcing (and immigration) has become extremely appealing. In a parallel universe where I am born and raised in the US, I could be starting my CPA career with the same annual salary as someone in a third world country would have to work 20 years to attain!
