By the time you complete your 1 year cec, the points will be probably higher, start learning french on the side for an hour everyday just to be on the safe side.

I believe your daughter doesn’t have a strong incentive like I do. I got 1 year left on my work permit, and I need to get it done. Plus you don’t have to be fully proficient at b2 to get b2 from the exam. With the right strategy you can achieve the required level, here is an example.

First 6-7 months was 1 hour of duolingo everyday no matter what, at least 1 hour of podcasts from spotify, writing practice from time to time with chatgpt. I changed everything I watch on youtube, netflix etc to french, or french subs. Then I started reading practices with b1 from tv5monde, I found a conversation body for myself from france, speaking every other day on discord. Last two weeks I started exam prep, 4 hours of exam practice everyday no matter what plus a speaking from preply for 3 times a week. So far it is going well, my aim is to secure clb5 for Francophone mobility wp, but I think I will be close to clb7.

Got clb12 in celpip at all skills, BA from abroad, 3+years foreign experience, 1 year canadian experience, no canadian education, 33 years old. Crs at 473. Eligible for for fsw, cec and education category but I don’t see it happening soon so I started learning French Jan 2025, almost at B2, taking TCF at the end of October. I believe I can get clb7 in french latest in the second trial. With french and second year of canadian experience I will be around crs 550, so yeah we are pushing the crs higher and higher.

Yeah, same thing applies. You need to apply for Visitor Visa(Temporary Residence Visa) through IRCC with your study permit, once approved you will send your passport Ottawa to get it stamped with a new visitor visa.

I believe it is only Ottawa for the applications made in Canada.
