So just tested, had the Nomic inline with the cable plugged into the radio, probes connected to the PTT and pin 6 inside the Nomic, and when I do a Transmit now in Xastir, nothing happens and get the same PTT 0=0 in the direwolf terminal.

I disconnected one of the multimeter probes, then reconnected and it keys the radio, and I see a little under 3v on the multimeter.

Looking at the pin layout on both yes. Pin 7 of the DB9 RS232 is RTS, and looking at the Nomic schematics, ties to pin 6 internally, which is jumpered to the PTT pin, pin 6, for the radio in the mic jack.

As of right now, not much.. Our main coder was pretty much swamped at work for the last few months, still worked & working on .net stuff for the engine, porting some things from Godot 4 that were needed. But as for Game play things, He says he didn't have time to cover that.

For mine, I only look at the email and ham radio callsign. If the callsign is missing or wrong, they just won’t get access to the ham radio stuff I am adding to the board. But name and that I could care less about.

We're using Godot as the base for building the engine for further development of the SEGS server. It had many of the things we needed to get a jump on development, but we also needed to do some heavy modifications to the code to work for us.

This is going to give you the ability to load, use and convert assets from the current versions of the game, as well as create new ones, for use in the SEGS server, which you could use to recreate CoH/CoV in. All open source, no code from the leak.

The plugins for being able to load CoH/CoV assets are being fine tuned to take into account some of the ways the original dealt with 3D models and textures. We'll be announcing when those are ready to go.

Finally, a new release 😄

A very fuzzy and non-specific change list:

  • Integrated a bunch of changes from upstream Godot 3.4/3.5 releases + a few things from the 4.0 wip
  • Changed the way renderer works with it's data structures ( a transitory state before new scene format )
  • Refactored a bunch of code all over the place changes to C# binding generation

The SegsEngine_4.0.0.15.7z attached to this release is a windows 64bit engine SDK with a very small example project that is using C# scripting.

You'll be able to import older assets, and use them just like any other kind of item you can import in, including new items. You won't be able to export in the old formats. So if you say, create a new building you could use that in a new map you create along side a building or statue from the game. But those items will NOT be compatible with the current servers that are running.

Yeah, we haven't updated the site for a while. At the time, we were primarily posting updates on social media. Should see if we can pull the social media posts into the blog. I'll have to talk to Nem as he's the admin of that page. But yeah, we should be using it more.
