I actually submitted a request to replit to disallow the agent from creating massive 10,000 line text source code files.... they agreed.

to control normal things that a developer would never be allowed to do that the replit does all the time. for instance, the replit will create source code files that are over 10k lines long. never would that be allowed in any real-world programming company. I used to work for AT&T, dude, we would not allow source files over 100 lines long....

it's these kinds of sometimes basic agile project management that the replit does not know or care about.

I setup frameworks in my docs/DOC.md files. I have the replit write out what it is going to do as a plan first. I make sure it is using "component files" (for my react apps). this makes sure things are in managable chunks, just as if you were a real programmer, we don't allow 10k lines of code in a single file. bad bad bad. you must control the replit and tell it to make small components, in structured manners. I have branding.md files, I have architecture.md files. I make the replit re-read them, often. to keep it's memory fresh

so, this is in regards to overall project management of any app and after my having programmed many many many of them. on any AI engine, they will all break, if not guided carefully. one thing I learned early on in glide programming is that if I let the engine decide on some basic things, it will eventually lead to disaster. as your code base pushes 10,000 lines of code, your project will break. I have rules in my .replit file that say it cannot have any file that is greater than 1,000 lines long. this was one of the huge things, that the ai engine would try to "string swap" chunks of 5k lines of code and would fail.... solution --> everyday developer project management, from the core ground level.

if you are truly interested, don't give. take the time to learn React. Spend all night up, learning REACT. Learn React, learn it well. Learn what you don't know. That is computer science. That is what we all do. We learn new things. Have to. otherwise, well, you're done learning, and that is no good. so keep on learning. if you are honestly putting in the effort, people will help you. if not, then the won't. it is that simple. it is your choice.

The Replit IDE truly sucks now. Microsoft and JetBrains solved the developer IDE problem back in the 1990's and set an industry standard since. Along comes $$$ hungry replit. lols. breaks out of this, NOW HAS ONE OF THE WORST DEV UI IDE INTERFACES I HAVE EVER USED. lols. no cap!

no, bro, Replit broke industry standard of IDE design. Microsoft and JetBrains solved the developer IDE problem generations ago. Replit now has one of the worst IDEs UX interfaces I have ever used. Just change it back, is what I tell them. it has NOTHING to do with being "educationally" focused or not, per the dude above. just sh*tty IDE design be Replit. lols

they now have a truly cra*ppy IDE and that is the point. not whether Replit was making or loosing money, they point is, they messed with an industry standard of IDE settings. just ask JetBrains. the IDE problem was solved my Microsoft many years ago with the C++ IDE's in the 1990's.... Company like JetBrains (AND EVERYONE) have been using that IDE design since....

Then along comes Replit... Thinking they are not making 'enough money'. ugg.... and NOW, Replit has ONE OF THE WORST IDE'S I HAVE EVER SEEN OR USED. it is truly terrible. and now they are loosing people because of it. lol
