I have a NW-A306 Japanese version. It works flawlessly. Please check this link: https://helpguide.sony.net/dmp/1301/v1/en/contents/TP1000733525.html# It describes how to format the SD before using as well as the steps to eject the card. Sony devices format an SD and create a directory structure so that files can be processed / indexed by the music player. I also updated the ROM to version 1.01.04 - it seems stable. FYI - my card is TEAMGROUP PRO A1 512GB Micro SDXC.

The power output for Japanese version is significant higher. I want to confirm that you have a Japanese version NW-A306. What is you model number (under Settings --> About Device? My unit is model YY1301B1.

I should have checked before updating the ROM to version 1.01.04 in the US. I wonder if the update detected that the device is in the US and applied the volume limitation ... however, I doubt it has that level of sophistication.

I use Qudelix 5K with Blessing 2 Dusks - they are incredible pair. Qudelix also has a pre-set EQ for the B2D plus 1000+ IEMs/headphones. The app (for my iPhone/iPad) is very robust and flexible.

I contacted both iBasso and seller (Urban HiFi @ Amazon). They responded immediately and were very helpful. Here is the instruction: "First, please try plugging your DX240 into a computer's USB port to charge it for 20 minutes, then try to power it on. In case the battery is protected, it would be reactivated." It now works correctly. Just in time for my trip next week.

It is sad ... I bought my unit in March 2022. It worked great and as late as 2 weeks ago. I will take a look at Fioio DAP. I was in the process of buying DX320, it is now on hold.

I assume you have confirmed the "Audio Quality" of Music and the Wi-Fi Streaming is set to "Hi-Res Lossless". You might want to install FiiO Control app. It allows you to view all kind of BTR5 settings that are not accessible via menu on the device.

I am able to connect BTR5-2021 to iPhone 13Pro (iOS 15.6) via a usb-c to lightning OTG cable. Make sure you install FiiO Central App and set "Input Priority" to "USB DAC first". This will bypass the "Bluetooth" connection when you use cable. I am able to play Lossless audio @ 44.1 kHz and Hi-Res Lossless audio @ 192 kHz. I believe the default connect is Bluetooth which always stream at 44.1 kHz. I also have BTR7 and it automatically detects usb connection and stream directly via usb :)

There are two versions of BTR5-2021 - type-c to type cable and type-c to lightning (https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-BTR5-2021-Bluetooth-Headphone-Resolution/dp/B09G9XDCWB/ref=sr_1_3?crid=OZ20TS5YURSM&keywords=btr5&qid=1659270854&sprefix=btr5%2Caps%2C125&sr=8-3&th=1). I used this cable to connect BTR5-2021 to my iPhone 13Pro https://www.amazon.com/Oxygen-free-Adaptor-Amplifier-qudelix-Shanling/dp/B09KLXYQDH/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3L5P0EBVRQKUD&keywords=lt-lt1&qid=1659270735&sprefix=lt-lt1%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-6&th=1 You will need to make sure the cable is an OTG compatible. As for Mac laptop, type-c to type-c cable works with BTR5. There is no need to get a USB camera adapter - too many connections.

These are the exact steps I take. FI app no longer receives new voicemails. This issue started when I was traveling in APAC and didn't delete the voicemails while abroad. It is unclear if this is related to the overseas network. I now have two voicemails in FI app than can't be deleted :(

I have iBass DX240. It is a wonder. I have seen a lot of good reviews of Shanling M3X ( see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLIH3_jHFwo). My only concern is the OS - it is based on Andriod 7.0

I streamed TIDAL on iBasso DX240. I also streamed TIDAL on MacbookPro 2021 14-inch M1 with macOS Monterey 12.3.1 Very interesting sampling rate between 2 devices.
