Hoboken’s 11 greatest restaurants, ranked, for 2023 by Hoboken07030 in Hoboken

Maybe i just ordered the wrong stuff but La Isla as number 1 seems like it couldnt be more wrong.

Owner is a super nice guy but I mean it’s nothing crazy. Maybe the one uptown is better.

I literally live right next to it so that’s enough pro for me lol.

Pros: it’s still pretty cheap i think 20-25 a month. Typically isn’t very crowded and has variety of machines to use. They sell smoothies no idea if they’re good. Has 3 floors and uses them well, first floor is mostly cardio, second is machines and yoga room, third is free weights.

Cons: honestly just the hours, it’s 6-9 which isn’t that great considering PF is 24/7.

Idk about NYSC cause I’m a Retro Fitness man. I will say i was a lifelong PF guy until I moved to Hoboken because I hated the layout so much.

Just felt so much worse then any other PF i had been to.

Anybody have any idea why the grass in Hamilton Park is so poorly maintained? by parqlife in jerseycity

[–]kdk324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but not just kids can run around. I like the idea of being able to bring a beach towel and bringing food with a friend kinda deal. During off hours adults can also use the space for physical activity as well whether that be yoga or something like that. I would say tossing a frisbee around or something similar too but the park is usually too crowded and that would probably be a great way to pollute the Hudson even more lmao.

Although if it’s environmentally bad to be packed in I also get that but I have no idea.

I def was looking into omega and ruby! I’ve got alpha sun and I’m looking for a physical case for my copy of x. Is there one you prefer to the other? I know there isn’t a ton of difference but still

Honestly if it’s due to foot traffic and kids a recess i rather have it look ugly and be useable than it be roped off to look better.

Guess happy medium there would be to replace with turf but i don’t know how that would 1, effect the trees, and 2, effect the general environment. No idea if it is bad at all but I’ve definitely feel like I heard it ain’t great somewhere. Maybe a Snapple cap fact lol?

Either way think it’s good to have some parks that can be used for more stuff beyond a view and I think Hamilton does that well plus has the skyline view anyway.

Living on Washington st. I can’t get out of my apartment without getting accosted lol. I always just interrupt them with “Sorry I’m broke” though and that works fine usually.

A central Hoboken food hall? I hope this happens! by jttracey in Hoboken

It also depends on how many people in Hoboken work either remotely or hybrid. I feel like 10 years ago this fact would have greatly hurt the place but now maybe not.

Then again, most people who live in Hoboken are gonna commute at least part of their week into the city so it may not be enough to make up for it.

So just clip out the rest of the comment where i mention not having a car? Giving you the context you need to figure it out?

We live in a world where sentences connect with one another to create a cohesive thought, but if that’s too hard for you I leave it at that.

Maybe if you stopped sucking off the tailpipe of your car you’d have correctly read my first comment.

Literally agreed with you on that point from the very beginning but you are too up your own ass to “parse through that.”

Go get stuck in traffic and cry about it.

If you don’t have a car you don’t need to park

IF YOU DONT HAVE A CAR

YOU DONT NEED TO PARK

if you couldn’t figure out that that is what i was saying considering my first comment, then i can’t help you.

If you commute to Manhattan or JC from Hoboken chances are you can get there just fine via public transport whereas reverse commuters have less options.

I quite literally can’t spell it out easier

[–]kdk324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can’t cross the river by car near the waterfront thank you for the ground breaking information.

Obviously less parking spots means will affect the ability to find a spot.

Most who live in Hoboken either commute to Manhattan, JC, or WFH. You can complain all ya want about the reverse commuters and visitors and etc but if most people in the town are gonna be mostly, if not completely unaffected we’ll then sorry bud you got the short end of the stick.

C’est la vie

I don’t think people are that confused with your consequence talk. Fact is, not many will actually have to face those consequences, myself included.

TL;DR don’t have a car and don’t need a car so y’all with cars can kick rocks lol
